pigpen while doing the stars I often see that washing up the dishes is a problem - often being left until the next day and in Rosepink's case by her own admission - sometimes a week:eek::eek:
This is an important job and should maybe appear as a regular item on the kitchen list????? (IMHO:D) not everybody is doing it as a daily job.
ruthiejane 60 in 60 is Mudbath's patented idea thingy!!! you have to put away, throw away or charity bag 60 things in 60 minutes - 60 pieces of paper would count or it could be a mixture of putting away clean dishes and throwing out rubbish for example
toots xxPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

I'm also finding I'm forgiving myself for the things that haven't been done as there's always tomorrow. That's a big thing for me.
In the middle of finishing the L/R list iyswim. Will update lists later on.
[QUOTE=Dustykitten;28629825Rose - hugs sweetie and hoping some money appears from somewhere - have you checked bag pockets, coat pockets, drawers etc just incase.[/QUOTE] Amazingly it has! I woke up and found I'd sold three things from my shop, then my Dad phoned as he'd seen me worrying on Twitter and said he would give us some money (he's so kind) and then a few hours later I thought I'd see if Dadaid had got to our bank account, and found that the DWP have paid in some money to our account! Yay! They must have approved our application for benefits. So all in all, we are going to be able to pay our rent and a few other outstanding bills - I feel very very relieved!

Penny brilliant snowman!
I have achieved precisely nothing today - apart from a little bit of work - and DH has spent the day sitting around, although he has just been out to the shop and got a few essentials and is now cooking dinner. :T I've been a bit low which is why I've not done anything, but feeling a bit more positive now that my worries are relieved. Hopefully I will be able to do some useful things tomorrow.
I think I need a new way of doing flying while DH is home, as I can't get online much for encouragment, or check my lists in Word. So I'm going to print off a weeks worth of lists and pin them up, and DH and I can work through them together. And then I will report back when i can.
Have a good evening everyone xx"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Rosepink "So I'm going to print off a weeks worth of lists and pin them up, and DH and I can work through them together. And then I will report back when i can."
I've done that several times as I find that if I have to come on herre to check a list I end up spending so much time on here catching up with the thread and not doing the housework - it works for me cos by the end of the week I have done loads more thatn normal IYSWIM

Careful_with_that_Axe wrote: »Well I was gonna do some today but have ended up dog sitting as Dad has fallen over and has suspected broken shoulder. You don't bounce well when you're 85. Am quite concerned as he tends to go shocky when he falls and bleeds a lot as he's on Warfarin.
Sods law as he's been housebound for a while and this was really his first trip out in 8 months or so. It's really gonna take away the confidence he built up about going out so will have to find ways to bouy him up again, poor love.Draught excluder stuffing - I filled mine with the contents of a 69p cushion from Ikea. May be worth trying your £ shop?
DH insisted on going and getting a new DW this morning rather than him do some washing up :kisses3:. There is no council tax to pay Feb or March which will cover it. Thanks for the suggestions - I went for a Bosch as we have never had a problem with any of their stuff.Mum and dad had some wine. Me and my sister had some ice cream.
Rose - please to hear that you have some solutions to your money worries. Good luck with the shop! I sounds as if it is going well, so keep building up the stock (remember, every time you feel like eating chocolate, make yourself knit till the craving passes!)
Pigpen - congrats on the debt-busting, and I like the idea of including regular financial/debt tasks in the list, as it fits in with the MSE ethos (as do the ebay challenges).
I've had a lovely day - walked through the snow (up hill through hip-high drifts) to the pub, had lunch (chicken salad) and walked back (the wind had been blowing and all traces of our footprints had been obliterated!). My brother and SIL had to leave to get back and see friends, but the other friends stayed for tea (chocolate panettone... marginally better than cake!). So I've had lots of exercise and good company.
I do, however, need to buy some more outdoor stuff. Longer thermal vests; more layers; thicker socks; another pair of walking boots (my ones with ankle supports are dead); gaiters; waterproof gloves and a hat with earflaps! Of course, if I do it will probably never be cold again, but right now it seems like a good idea... not sure whether to go for it online or see whether I can get into town first and check out the outdoor places and then fill the gaps online.
Birthday present from my brother was a tomtom with 3 months subscription to the live update service, so I don't need to call friends when I hit traffic problems!
So now I've had all my birthday presents I can shop for a coal bucket, log basket and camera case too.
Off to find some supper, call my parents and then have a hot bath and an early-ish night!0 -
Right tomorrow starts war on the odd socks....will tie a few together for toys for pooch(the rope toys normally cost a couple of quid and don't last very lond) , then when I go to the shops will buy oils and make fresheners with the rest.....FAB!!!!0
