Pigpen yes some are annoying but as a stubborn old bat before my time I know I will be a nightmare too. Having not totally completed lists recently these may have been covered, but some of mine.

Tops of door frames - went to hang a towel on the bathroom door to keep cold out of upstairs, gross fluffy stuff, yuk
Linen cupboard - I think I need to have a look through and see what can be taken to the local dog/cat rescue centre
Baking trays/pans/plastic tub sort out, lids for everything, see if anything needs replacing/flinging etc
Cleaning the loo - sometimes we miss the outside, especially down the back, ewwww fluffy pipes
Decluttering snow - something some of us are doing daily, I keep having to clear the back door or the dog knocks it in the house
    Back of TVs/PCs/other electricals

Hex have you tried www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk on the forum there is loads of help stuff, I always search on there. I got my DW with a good code from littlewoods/very.co.uk in the sale, must admit I'd hate to be without it again. I hated the Bosch one we had in the old house which broke all the time but Pigpen likes them.

MrsChaos, I hate pairing socks, I have done a trick like hex's before. Mine are in pairs but the kids leave them all over the place. If you don't want to bin the old ones make them into draught excluders.

Looks like DP is coming home early, it's snowing so good thing but bad bit being it's so quiet he's only done a few pounds, which is not good for the bills. I always think things happen for a reason, maybe that is why my interest free for 12 months card arrived on the first snowy day. At least I can use it and have the common sense now to pay it back as soon as I can (instead of my 34.9% card or DPs 20.9% one) . Just close my eyes and put in the pin number as it'll be the third week without pay. It'll have cost me more to get him there tonight than he will make. Must see if we can get more tax credits when it is like this.

Ok a little more flying, more TD loads, washing brought downstairs, some wet stuff on radiators, more bags of rubbish dumped outside.

Quillion I am pleased he still has a job and is happy with accepting that (((hugs)))
One day I might be more organised...........

I have no idea what you do, but hope that OH give you good feedback for your performance ;)

I am a flute player and have my final recital for my Masters next week.

I haven't read the thread and am so tired that I probably won't. I HATE the snow and cold as it has made me have the most pointless day ever.

I arrived in Edinburgh this morning to get my train to Manchester for my last rehearsal with my pianist. All trains were either cancelled or delayed, mine eventually left 35 minutes late. We didn't even get as far as Lockerbie (for those of you that know the area you will know that is not very far AT ALL) and the train stopped. They were checking a possible fault on the train, we then sat there for just over 4 hours. When we eventually got to Lockerbie I turned round and came home. I now have to go to Manchester on Monday, come back the same day. Go to work on Tuesday and then after todays experience I am going back to Manchester that night ready for my recital the following day. I can't face the stress of possibly not getting there. I am tired and I have done nothing, my day seems to have been so pointless.

Sorry Toots, Pigpen, I had to rant.

  • For a specific job for me it would be sorting CDs and DVDs and returning them to boxes as well as tidying them on shelves.

Mending odd broken things or putting together things that need it.

Kitchen cupboards - organising tinned stuff.

    Rationalising freezer.

There seem to be quite a few people who suffer from ill health here. I think, for me, it's my way of retaining control in at least one area of my life.

nct - sort garage bits, update treasurer, get out NNS lists & make a date for planning meeting, speak to HS, RBC forms up to date?
    DS's bedroom (clothes try on)

OK, I've had a go at the blinds (had to take everything back off the window sill to do them and clean the sink after). They were FILTHY (sorry to shout).

I've done them as best as I can but for next time can someone tell me if there is an easy way to clean Venetian blinds? I sprayed some Dettol spray, left it for a bit and then wiped with a damp sponge. They look much better but not perfect. Now you must remember Flylady says we don't have to do things perfectly so I'm not about to dash back upstairs lol!

Next time I'd like to do them better plus the kitchen blinds will need doing when they're next on the list and there's 2 of them

If they are made of plastic then put an old towel and some cheap bubble bath in the bath with some warm water. take blind down after you ahve opened it up and dip it in the bath but dont put the top meachanism bit in then wipe each slat then hang up again. If your blind hangs somewhere where there are no tiles below it you will need to dry it first but it is a very quick way to do it.

    Hello all

I'm back from my little trip away. Had a good time in the end. The photoshoot was actually good fun though the pics are extortionate so I didn't buy any. However I was pampered a bit and had a good time with my friend.

Yesterday was a bit stressful as it took me over 2.5 hours to get to work and then I had to get to birmingham in the evening. Tonight there were no fast trains back to london thanks to a signal failure (nothing about it online DH had been checking for me!) so had to get the slow train back then getting across London was slow so that was a 4 hour journey! Worked out I've spent 10 of the last 36 hours travelling  Still, I'm home safe and sound, that's all that matters. And no work til Tuesday now :j

Need to find my list as I/we will be flying this weekend.

    IMPORTANT QUESTION..

What jobs do people specifically want on the list next week?

you know those bits you look at week after week and think.. hmm.. I can pretend that's not on this weeks list so I'll leave it being an eye sore!?? My entire house is like that.. but come on.. tell me about your messy corners! I am bored of writing the same tasks week in week out.. I want something new!

And.. no you aren't having the week or even a day off..

I am good at doing the bits that are seen or are on the list but I did notice that the back of my sink and behind my radiators are in need of a good dyson/wipe
Also I need to sort out our wedding photos, actually print some and put in a 5 pic frame we got as a present and also put the disposable camera ones into an album!
I also need to sort out the fact that my big gas burner on the hob isn't working (gunked up i think) but I don't want to get the landlord out as I think it's my fault so they will charge me...any ideas welcomed!
Return Christmas present that doesn't work
    write thank you letters

Obviously these are specific to me!!

Good.. You should've said 'yes please, you don't mind if i bring my 8 kids do you?' :rotfl::rotfl:
