Just flying in to say cake finished. I'm taking it to my parents tonight for him to have a day early in case we can't get out tomorrow because we're supposed to get more snow.

    - kitchen cleaned
    - DH putting up mirrors etc in DD's room
    - parcel decluttered to next door
    - bird water changed (it's freezing so quickly!)
    - new fat balls put out.

I've been to the garden centre and got a big storage container which fits all the bird food and fat balls in so now I've cleared another shelf in the utility room! Yeahhhh!!!!!

To anyone new - please don't get disheartened if you don't finish lists. You will get there and in the mean time your house will be getting more and more tidy. Our houses take years to get in the state they're in (not that I'm saying they're really bad or anything!!!!!) so it'll take more than a week to sort them out. Of course, more important than getting stars you get to spend time with some really good quality [STRIKE]lunatics[/STRIKE] lovely people! :rotfl:xx

  • I actually like matching socks, how sad am I!

Pinching most of hubby's for the cold at the mo..........

  • Study question

Hubby works from home, so I only clean my little part of the room..............I can only do the whole room (which takes an entire day) if he is away overnight somewhere.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Serena - but what shrub is it? I can see one forlorn red rose here atm.

    Coronilla glauca valentina 'Citrina'.

My desert island shrub. Scented flowers from September to April, all through the winter, unless very cold (I expect it'll stop for a while now). It is a Mediterranean weed (I saw the plain yellow version growing wild in Marseilles in April, and was very thrilled), enjoys poor soil, and good drainage. I am on heavy clay, have grown it in the front garden where it bakes rock hard in the summer, and now have it trained up a trellis in the warmest spot in the back garden. Propagate from cuttings in about May/June.

Otherwise, I have lots of snowy hummocks, and winter jasmine around the kitchen window.
