And carefully separated out her dirty laundry from the basket, returning it onto her bed.

Sorry JoJo, but this bit really made me chuckle :D Hope you get on OK at the docs...

I have flown a bit but outside and off piste - cleared NN's car and drive of snow and cleared mine of snow as it's thawed a teeny, teeny bit today. It'll freeze again tonight but at least there'll be less to clear in the morning.

BenW - my bedroom was in a terrible state when I started Flylady, with about a foot or so of walking-around-the-bed space, and then piled up to three feet or so , as well as the top of the wardrobe, chest of drawers, under the bed, etc. Because OH had stacked 20 years of car magazines against the door on my side of the wardrobe, I had all my clothes on the floor. I couldn't really bear to start, but did exactly as suggested, doing 15 minute challenges in there, and trying to keep the space clear and clean to join up with the next bit. I have to say it took me a year to get to the stage where I was ready to redecorate, and then fit new wardrobes. But, I did get there, and am pleased every time I walk in!

My other top tip is to have a very clear idea of what each room is for, what you need to keep in that room for its purpose, and most importantly, the right kind of storage for what you need to keep in there. I'm still working on that one!

    I'm back!!!!

Ok I didn't go anywhere but I had a serious case of CBA since the snow has arrived. Although I have been around and about on FB as a few flyladies can testify..lol

I have just finished hoovering my stairs - oooh it is so much better with the new attachements for the Dyson :) But guess what I have found the missing tools!! Yep I know..but I am sure I have pixies that have been playing hide and seek!! Still the new ones are so much better anyway, and it's always good to have a spare set of tools!!

I hope that everyone that has snow isn't too snowed in, we are sort of snowed in here as Swale council has run out of grit so that most of the roads aren't gritted. I haven't seen my car since Monday evening..it is covered in snow, as are most of the cars in the road!! We have to go to Asda tomorrow but DH and I are going to put our walking boots on, take our wheelie trolleys and see what shopping we can get. I doubt if I can get cat litter but I need to get some as the poor darlings are on half a bag of litter. I only need a couple of bits like dog and cat food, milk if they have any and anything else that grabs my fancy. But apart from the pet food we can manage for another few days if necessary. I knew there was a reason I was keeping a stock of bread mixes in the cupboard. Just have to hunt the bread machine out of the spare room. We have plenty of porridge, butter and veggies for the time being. I might even make a couple of soups tomorrow after shopping. Thank gods we went and did our bulk meat shopping just before Christmas as we have plenty of meat in the freezer.

I'm not sure what time DH is going to get home from work as I can't locate him at work so I think he might have decided to leave early and get one of the coaches leaving from London. He has done really well and got in to work every day during the snow, which has been no mean feat as he works in London, as his coaches are not running from our village so he has to walk 30mins to pick up the coach at it's first stop. And then he has a 30 min walk back home after he is dropped off. I do hope the bank appreciate the effort he has made.

We are on another severe weather warning from 3pm today till Sunday/Monday as they now say that another bout of snow is expecting across Kent..ugh!! Still the garden does look nice and white, with paw prints in from the dogs.. Last count we had 4 inches in the garden.. Haven't turned the heating off at night since it started snowing, I don't particularly fancy the pipes freezing over night. So we have decided to say to heck with the bills it has to be cheaper than paying for pipes!!

OK, I've had a go at the blinds (had to take everything back off the window sill to do them and clean the sink after). They were FILTHY (sorry to shout).

I've done them as best as I can but for next time can someone tell me if there is an easy way to clean Venetian blinds? I sprayed some Dettol spray, left it for a bit and then wiped with a damp sponge. They look much better but not perfect. Now you must remember Flylady says we don't have to do things perfectly so I'm not about to dash back upstairs lol!

Next time I'd like to do them better plus the kitchen blinds will need doing when they're next on the list and there's 2 of them
Lakeland sell two gadgets for cleaning venetian blinds - a special microfibre duster and something else (I've forgotten what - it's a minute since I checked and I have the brain of a goldfish:cool:). https://www.lakeland.co.uk and search under venetian blinds.

I clean most things with wet wipes or OzKleens Kitchen/Bathroom power - leaves everything sparkling...then I guess a weekly dust with Lakeland duster and they'd look lovely all the time!! :T

Having a CBA day today. Started on 2 year olds bedroom and decluttered some clothes and toys. Cleaned windows and windowsills (so I could see progress of snowclearing outside). Rehomed 2 boxes of clutter that DH had put in there - tools? I'm amazed DS hadn't sawn his leg off. Can't face DD's room. My bedroom now has piles of clean washing with no home - can't go on floor and no room in wardrobe. I think my get up and go has got up and gone.

I have a sock monster in my house as well :rotfl:I mean where do they go

I actually put them all back in the washing basket and just keep washing them, in the hope that one day they will find their partner or just disappear into the sock monsters mouth :rotfl:

hehe me too, OH HATES it! He says I'm the perfect housewife apart from the apparent vendetta I have against his socks!

All days all levels complete! No extras though. Only managed this much as we've been snowed in all week and it's clean or watch kids fighting!
