Joining you Jo. Just back from food shopping and I really need to crack on.

How lovely Dusty - the birds have really started to come here now the new feeders have been up for a few weeks. I currently have one robin, two huge speckled thrushes, a blackbird, a couple of blue tits and some smaller unidentified ones. I can see it form the dining room and kitchen windows so no excuse for not flying. I must get a decent book on identifying them.

Serena - but what shrub is it? I can see one forlorn red rose here atm.

ETA Lamewolf - I don't want to see DOB, age, marital stauts, number of children on a cv. I don't care about those things, and I wont work for a company that does. I would be deeply unhappy if I found out that any of the agencies I use did it to people.

Head has been back in touch. He has seen the links and is treating it as cyberbullying, has all staff on lunch duty on alert and is patrolling the school himself during breaks. Feel happier now that I have been proactive and thank you all for your input x

Couldnt face the spare room today and dont have any kids rooms - well I do, but he's 23, away at university and would kill me if I decluttered his bedroom! The first task for the spare room (actually I have two and both are in the same state) was to put away anything that didnt belong there. Well anything that doesnt have a home goes into the spare rooms (once one was full, we started to fill up the other one), which means that almost everything in those two rooms doesnt belong there. It would take a year to clear it, so thought I would concentrate on the easier bits for now, until those are in hand, then start to tackle the spare rooms.

So, I went back to the start of the list. I staretd with the kitchen and I had done the surfaces on Monday - took all day to declutter those and wipe them down. The second task was the floor. Now at the risk of you all thinking I'm totally disgusting, I have to confess - it is so long since I last washed the kitchen floor that I had forgotten what it looed like. I would clean up spills and sweep it quite often, but hadnt got round to washing it for ages. Well, thanks to you lot, I have now washed my kitchen floor - well, the bits I could get at, around the bag of debris from taking plaster off the walls (waiting to take to the tip) and the drill, the pieces of wood (from the yet to be finished work on the wall) and the boxes of magazines (belonging to OH).

While I was waiting for the floor to dry, I hoovered the bathroom floor, tidied up the laundry into the basket (will wash tomorrow) and did the computer bits and pieces like wiping the keyboard.

So, not completed any lists this week, so no stars for me :( but feeling good as a big start has been made on my horrible mess I call home.

    Thanks everyone!

    Ruth

Wow, that's better. I'm not going to pretend that DS1's room is everything that it should be but I have done all the levels though perhaps more to the letter of the law rather than fully in the spirit. Now its clean and tidy I can face going in on the weekend and weeding the books, games and papers. Off to mystery shop a pub with a friend as my Friday treat. Hope you're all having a better day - and fingers crossed, hugs and positive thoughts for anyone having a tough time.
