Check your tubes buggalugs - sounds like a blockage - bet it's a coin!

Unless Buggalugs has a teenage son - was it piggers who had 'something' in their dyson????:rotfl: Sorry, welcome Buggalugs.

Dusty - I just went out to feed the birds. They must be so hungry as I refilled one feeder and then moved to do the other one (about a foot away) and a sparrow came and landed on the first feeder. It was literally inches away from me. Amazing....I didn't want to breathe incase it flew off. It's really made my day!:D

Cake making is now going to commence with s/s ing whilst each bit is cooking. I WILL be gone some time xx

And it's a good reminder to the rest of us that we should be checking regularly and carefully.

Wise words as usual from greenbee please everyone do check yourselves regularly & make sure you go to all available check-ups......for all newbies who don't know, I have terminal cancer.....this isn't the place to discuss it....but your health really is the most important thing. I was told in September that I have about a year.....I don't want any of you to have to tell your children that as well :( I know toots will back me up on this one :A

    Hi everyone,

Just a quick post to say that I will be concentrating on the study (and all the weeks washing "sigh") as the bathrooms were done thoroughly this week.

The reason I mentioned the age thing is that Mr LW was told by numerous agencies to omit his date of birth from his CV, as they bin the ones from over-50s without even looking at them. No offence was intended.:(
Obviously age discrimination is illegal , but definitely don't put age or DOB on CVs, as it isn't relevant. Realistically, people can work out your age (roughly) from the rest of the information, but at least then they'll see your experience while they're working it out. Having said that, people who discriminate based on age/gender etc are very, very short sighted. The best person for the job is the best person for the job... I've employed people older than me, younger than me, people with kids, people without kids, men, women, gay, straight, single, married, able bodied, disabled and found that none of these things make any difference whatsoever to a person's ability to do the job. Personality/skills and fit with the team/role are most important. And skills/experience can be provided if you have the right ability/temperament - I've taken on people with no experience in the past because I've thought that they would be good given a chance, and been proven right. I've also been pressured into taking experienced people and it's been a disaster! (for a start, they have their own ideas and don't realise I know best ;):p).... apologies for the off-topic rant but this is something that realy winds me up! People need to use their brains when recruiting...

Off to do some work now, I promise, as two client bookings have just popped up on my blackberry, so I need to find out what I have to prepare!

    Morning all

    Happy Birthday Master Mudders x

Another one with a rough night because of children, seems DS2 did pick up that tummy bug before school closed because of weather. He seems fine this morning and has had some porridge. DP didn't go to work last night, unsure if he is tonight. Last night was pointless as the trains were cancelled and pubs were closed. We need this snow to clear off and people to start venturing out soon, lucky I got the interest free card before Christmas as we've had very little income from his work....about 1/4 of normal. My MSE ways are helping, I got shopping yesterday with earned Nectar points so shopping cost me 12p. Unfortunately today I need 2 new tyres which are £214 and a few more bits of shopping like soup mix etc

Sorry, flying, I've decluttered some snow from the path (never thought about DW salt on ice until I spotted it on the other thread so might try that) checked on neighbours as next door was told last night not to drive as it too us nearly an hour to get his car sorted after he got it stuck - I will pick up what they need when I go for tyres. Done 2 loads of washing which are now hanging around the place as my TD is on it's way out and we can't figure out what is broken. Tidied kitchen and filled DW. CLEANED THE BATHROOM AND WE DON'T HAVE A STUDY but I did do the laptop/phones etc so can I have my 3rd star please :D as that list is done! As for bin collections, it's been 4 weeks. We have a small bag and box for plastic/paper/card/glass/cans then another for garden waste only (no food waste) then the general bin. It's things like bones from meats etc which will be the main stinky bits in the bins and veg peelings. Plastic/paper/card/glass/cans we're not allowed to put in black sacks or they won't collect it, so unfortunately it had to be put in regular bin bags as it was getting all over the street. The local recycling point is a Sainsbury they are extending so have removed facilities temporarily.

Right, suppose I best wake DP, then get ready so I can go pick my tyres up. Have a nice day everyone x x x
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

  • ATTENTION Second HHC 11:30-12:00 AND ONE TWO THREE FOUR, ONE TWO, THREE FOUR

    Yes Ma'am - I'll all fell in....

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.
