Right, have finally crawled out of my pit - awful night with ds having night terrors and kept saying "I go home now" and " I want my mummy/daddy" when he was in our arms! - does this occasionally, dd used to do it too, then is fine again for months but resulted in about 2 hours sleep last night - good job school is closed again cos zombies aren't allowed to teach!

Have printed off lists for the week along with list of school stuff I need to do and am going to work steadily through both lists till Sunday night - no sign of a thaw today still minus 2 and even bright sunshine is having no effect on ice. At least we aren't spending any money (apart from racking up the heating bill I suppose)

Will be thinking of you this afternoon Jojo x

I have the feeling I'm not going to get on terribly well today; firstly I'm not having a good day to start with, and secondly I don't like being in the [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] spare room. Nothing to do with the state it's in, I just always get really bad "vibes" in there.

Oh, and I meant to say the other day, Pigpen I'm really sorry to hear that your DS has also has trouble getting work in IT. The reason I mentioned the age thing is that Mr LW was told by numerous agencies to omit his date of birth from his CV, as they bin the ones from over-50s without even looking at them. No offence was intended.:(

I know I am being a wimp, but I am really scared of slipping and falling.
Me too... and when I went out the first time it was a bit scary. (I'm pretty unstable ON MY FEET ... before I get any comments on that... anyway, as I have hypermobile ankles & hips). However, yesterday I used two walking poles, and it was fine - so if you have them, that's the answer. If you don't, or only have one, but are passing somewhere that sells them, then it's a worthwhile investment
Did you get Seargant Major stripes for Christmas :p:D
She's just missing being at school :p

Right... really must go and do something :o

Hi ladies, I read this thread every day but dont post. You all give me the incentive to keep up :) Love listening to you all :) Today however I am being derailed by an incalcitrant Dyson grrrr does it want to pick anything up? NO , four times over a crumb and I gave up and picked the thing up manually. sheesh. ok back to lurking sorry to interrupt.
Jojo sending hugs of encouragement to you
    xxx

My Dyson did the same and it turned out that i needed a new filter (not the one that can be washed but the motor one) , noticed as well that the belt was broke so ordered both of ebay and now it's working great.
