DD1 hates me.
She didn't roll in until gone 10pm last night when she was expected at 5 to look after DD2 whilst I went to OU tutorial. It was cancelled at the last minute, but she didn't know that. Then she hid outside with the BF and when I kept asking her to come in, she deliberately drooled over him some more. Any more exhibitionist and she would have been able to sell a film of it.
Informed her when she eventually disengaged from his body that she was needed to look after DD2 today whilst I go to doctors. The look in her eyes told me all I needed to know. I didn't need the 'I'm 17 not 7 and I'm the only adult here and if you ground me I'm gone' stuff usually squealed as she stamps her feet, but only ever when she has the BF standing behind her. I am officially scum in her eyes.
Told her to go to bed and keep out of my sight. (the alternative would have been smacking her in the face, which appealing though it seems is rather illegal and could quite possibly have set me off onto the road of killing her). Serves me right for never raising a hand to her when she was little.
I didn't sleep much. Too angry with her.
She crept out the door at 6.55am.
She's been vile (when not totally absent) since she came back from her father's on Monday after the Christmas break.
Think she is trying to manufacture a huge row so she can 'run away' and a) go to a big drunken party this weekend which I never agreed to because she had been rude to me b) stay with boyfriend forever and ever and ever and ever and ever.
So much for me being nice to him when he had problems with his parents.
And the lump hasn't miraculously disappeared overnight.
Meh.

jo if she's already being a PITA and not doing what you ask her to. Ignore her and don't rise to any of the bait she attempts to wind you up with. Hard I know and it's a bit of a long haul but that's what I've done and it does work. If she doesn't get a 'negative' reaction from you then what's the point in trying to?
If feel for you though. Teenage girls are evil at times. Even more so when a BF is on the scene. Mines 19 and when she's nice she's great but when she sticks in those teenage 'evils' grrrrrrrrr she's horrid.:mad:
On a flying front and speaking of teenagers ...I have spent an hour cleaning up the shed and conservatory after DD1's rabbit. On my hands and knees with a dustpan and brush cos Miss Tag has left the broom in the garden somewhere which is now under 6 inches of snow:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
God knows when she last 'properly' cleaned out the hutch. It stinks and so does the conservatory of rabbit wee:mad::mad: I can't disinfect it though cos it's so cold so I've cleaned it out as best I can, put cat litter and a few bumbles in a tray in the shed and I hope she wees and bumbles in that. Will have to tackle the hutch and underneath it properly when the weather improves I think! Or sling it out and start again might be a better idea?Till then she's got the run of the shed as it's warmer for her. Do you know I don't even know how I ended up with the flippin thing
Apart from that Miss and Master Tag have been decluttered to school:j:j The house looks like a tornado has been through it:rolleyes::rolleyes: but I did do some ironing before school:D:D:D

Have spoken to LadyL on the phone, and she is ok. Her power went off again yesterday, which is why she hasn't posted. I'm off to Mr T and to deliver to a few neighbours and to LadyL, and have a chat to her. OH has decluttered the car of ice, and I'm going to drive very carefully. Lots of cars have been in and out of our road ok, so hopefully when I get to the main roads, they will be ok too.

Hello all,
Well I managed to de-clutter another drawer in the COD that hasn't been sorted since way before we moved house 5 years ago. I've found some little tiles that I think were spacers in the last houses' bathroom - I seem to remember having to buy more because I'd lost them! Grrr.
Ok - so I've got the proper Thursday list to do today as I did bathrooms/office yesterday and was properly proud of myself til OH came home and spotted the hoover in the bedroom and proceeded to hoover. I fear I may be getting over-protective about my new found fly-lady habit because I asked him what he was doing, then why he felt the need when it had only been done the day before - instead of the more rational be grateful and say nothing. To be fair he is very good at cleaning/tidying so I shouldn't complain but he does tend to think that its only really been properly done if he does it - and as that tends to happen only at 6am on weekends and requires much praise and fuss I would prefer to avoid it all together. Sorry - over-sharing over.

Morning all! After putting the kids on Ebay (can't face the teenage years after all your tales of terror)
I'm going to tackle the PC desk - should only take 10mins, but didn't do it yesterday so have undeserved star at the moment. After that I shall tentatively poke my head around the kids rooms doors and try not to shriek too loudly:eek:.
Can't decide whether to hike down to the main road and catch a bus to the nearest supermarket. It's either that or no fruit and veg for the duration...Will think whilst flying:D0
