I might get the N900 soon when my Blackberry 8900 contract comes to an end.
The thing that annoys me about the blackberry is that it is trumped as an excellent email phone, but the email client is very annoying as if I read an email on my PC it still shows as "unread" on the Blackberry. My blackberry currently says I have 132 unread emails, but this is not true and I'm fed up with constantly having to manually hit "mark as read" and just don't bother any more.
I just want an email client that works normally!
Do you have 'Blackberry' email? or are you using POP?
If using an Blackberry, MS Exchange or IMAP there is two way sync, if using POP you will not get that functionality. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -

NokNok are reporting N900 support is on its way for Ovi Maps 3.03 (http://noknok.tv/2010/01/22/free-ovi-maps-3-03-on-the-nokia-n97-and-nokia-n900/) which will give you turn-by-turn directions for car satnav.0 -

that depends on how you read what was said.
“in later dates we will also be increasing the number of support for this [sic] and certainly moving forward it will also support Maemo”
He doesn't say Maemo 5 or N900. Maemo could be the next device running Maemo 6.The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -

My ISP's mail server is "IMAP", and works fine in Thunderbird, but Blackberry's email client seems to be broken in some way as it keeps telling me I have x unread email when I dont.0 -
Just a quick and probably stupid question. Can you use the facebook apps such as castle age, kingdoms of camelot and !!!!! wars on this phone? I know its a full browser experience but its the deal maker/breaker for me i'm just worried that they are java and this phone doesnt support it. Apart from this it ticks all my boxes:staradmin5k - 00:27:46:staradmin 10k - 00:57.03:staradminHalf - 02:01:15:staradmin5M - 00:44:07:staradmin0

The phone does not have native support for Java but the browser will run JavaScript on webpages. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -
Have to say I am loving this phone. Great OS, even if it is a bit young, and a fantastic community to boot. Have seen a remote control program for this called Irreco or Qtirreco, have any of you got this installed? Having trouble finding it myself and quite fancy itIts never easy.0

Nokia said the other day, they had stock of 700 and only had 4 left time the end of the day was over. So guess this phone is a big hit. I love mine. Waiting for portrait mode so I can use it one handed, other than that I love it to.Kind Regards

Have you seen this,
http://dailymobile.se/2010/01/16/nokia-n900-portrait-mode-on-the-web-browser/
to get the browser into portrait mode, at least.
Have been surfing around today trying to decide on my next phone and so far think the N900 is in the lead. Was going to get an iphone but the camera on the nokia swings it for me I think.0
