  • The main presents he bought me were 2 books - that I had already read:mad:
Good news (if it can be called good ;)) was that we got a refund and I went to the library:rotfl:

  • Hi Cialilerin

Sorry to here your woes with the cars and washing machine. As you know my car is also costing money this month:mad: - but if I had to choose car or washing machine, the washing machine would be fixed or replaced before the car:rotfl: I can always walk/get a bus/get a lift....but laundry by hand:eek::eek:

Happy birthday for last week - library books are a good thing, but make sure you do have something special just for you from the refund for the books.

Valentines day - what's that:huh::huh: My DH gave up with Valentines before we hit 5 years of marriage - but to be honest in my DFW mode I would have mixed feelings if he spent money on me for that....on the one hand pleased he made the effort, and on the other hand irritated that he bought into the whole consumer must spend scenario and wasted some of our debt busting money. Upshot is...he probably couldn't win either way:rotfl:

However, I hope your DH spoils you rotten for Valentines (in as cheap a fashion as is possible whilst still retaining the sentiment of the occassion without looking tightfisted:rotfl:)

  • Just found out that my washing machine is beyond repair:mad: Extra mad cos I know we haven't had it that long but can't find the receipt:(
Still hoping this may end my run of bad luck so staying positive. Actually I'm feeling so positive that I will go as far as saying that I'm lucky to be in a position to be able to buy a new one straight away! Those tablets are definitely working:rotfl:

  • :TWell done for staying so positive:T

If you can't find the receipt, how did you pay for it? If you paid on your credit or debit card can you use cc statement/bank statement as proof of purchase?

  • Hi Cialilerin

Yep - parallel lives or what:D Washing machines / cars / [STRIKE]debts[/STRIKE]:D (debts struck out because they will be gone !!)

I'm sorry that your machine is beyond repair, but glad you are positive about getting a new one. Definitely find that receipt -and see if you can get something back on the old one.
