Oh the joys of public sector - sorry honey that is so frustrating.
DH on board - well done. The last few days I have taken eye of the ball cause I am on holiday, we were in M&S the other evening looking for a yummy tea, DH went straight to the 3 for 2's - he must have listened one evening this year!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Last day at work now until next Weds (after realising on Weds that the kids have teacher training day Tues!!!) At work yesterday to sweeten my boss up before asking for Tuesday off (as I have no annual leave left-starts again in Feb!) I have volunteered to caretake a project as the current person in charge is leaving on Tuesday and no one else has been appointed. I feel I need a bit of variety at work as have been at the same office for 7 years and feeling a little stuck in a rut so want a challenge! This particular project is a whole new way of working but has met some resisitance in the office even though if it's done properly it will ease the workload and could be great. I may regret this volunteering!
On bright side, mom and sister coming tonight to welcome in the new year. Mom is treating us all to a Chinese takeaway tonight and tomorrow we are going to just have snacks and graze - will be the first year that we haven't had a proper roast dinner! Then going to take mom to graveyard to tidy my dad's grave - haven't been able to do much recently due to this rubbish weather! - then laze until Tuesday afternoon whe we can start looking for uniforms and panicking about homework!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Hope you have a lovely night Cialilerin.
You have put such effort into your job recently C, it will come good some time very soon, sadly no money in the system is slowing all our career paths but you have been proactive and am I sure that will be rewarded!
I hope 2011 brings you joy, love and happiness xLBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Had a lovely evening and went shopping with my sister today - no kids
Bought 3 tops in Debenhams sale for work, spent £30, although not sure about one so I may bring it back.
Have decided to try and lose weight as I will be 40 next month. I am going to learn to ice skate as my challenge for birthday year- £60 for lessons, so will need to build this into my budget. On bright side it burns 400 calories an hour!!!!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -

Hope your ok today xGC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
Well I've done it, my total debt is £51,620.91  A year ago I had my lbm and calculated my debt at under £50,000. However, I miscalculated badly and think it was nearer £60,000. At the end of November my debt was £50,513 - can't believe it has gone up so much. (admittedly £600 was on car)
I have loans totalling £16952.55, which I am aying off at £429.9 per month. One will be paid in 4 months, one in 28 months, one 46 months and the other will be paid early as there are another 8 years on it!!! My cc debt is £34,668, between dh and myself, approx £18,000 are on cc's with high APR's so really want to get these paid off asap
So the time has come to face up to facts, I am slow at beating my debt but I am determined! Time to hide dh's cc again and keep mine tucked away for emergencies.
On the bright side, mentally I am feeling a lot stronger and more stable than this time last year, so I refuse to feel downcast and I will look at 2010 as my learning curve towards being debt free and now for the real thing.
As I stated before, I am paying a student loan of approx £114 per month and this finishes in about a year or so. I haven't included this in my SOA as it just comes straight out of wages, so I will have more money to pay off my debts with at some point
By the way, my current snowball says that I will be debt free in Oct 2016. Happy with that but would like to make it sooner but not going to run befor I can walk.
Decided to start saving my £2 coins again and not tell dh where they are!
The only blip on the horizon os that it is my 40th next month. I really want to go on holiday this year but not sure when/where or with what.Want to lose weight and start feeling healthy so going for a walk later with dh and the younger girls.
Plan for this year is to get debt below £40,000!!!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120
