First day of rest of my life

  • Hi, Can't believe how long it is since I've been on here. I haven't had the chance to catch up with everyone's diaries yet so please be patient. ;) Basically I've been working 12-13 hour days at work in order to accrue some overtime and catch up on myself. Dh was off work for 3 weeks with man flu!!! Also demon baby has had croop and throat infection - so no sleep for us either! :(

On top of this my PC has been very ill and we have had to accept that it is probably terminal. Have now utilised one of the second hand ones dh bought some months ago and it is at least reliable!! :)

MOneywise - well it's December, do I need to say more? I was actually on top of things until my car joined the rest of the family and appliances and got sick (including the heater not working!!!) Repairs cost £600 - had to tell dh where I'd hidden his cc to pay for it. On the bright side, now he has this, I may get a decent Christmas present, although in reality - why would he break the habit of a life time?

Lots of snow here and was feeling smug at having the week off and cupboards full of food, but dd's no 1 & 2 have now said they need to go shopping for the last of theor presents and apparently it is my responsibility to transport them to the shops! No rest for the wicked!!
Proud to be dealing with my debts,

  • Good to see you back, sounds as though you've been busy.
  • Hi C

My car has been pretty sick aswell. why is it always December ?? !!! So I am facing my debt in the new year, along with everything else. Weight etc etc :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I am pretty organized and completed my pressie shopping a while ago. But that smug feeling always disappears when I suddenly remember something or have an unexpected present:rotfl:

I plan to be more laid back in 2011 !! (Yeah right!!)

    Hugs xxx

Hairdresser has just been in and made us look presentable - had to borrow the money to pay for it from dd's. :rotfl:talk about role reversal!!

  • Just got to wrap the presents now - but have no idea when a there are ALWAYS children around me.

I did a terrible thing yesterday and perused the grabbit board and was tempted by the devil himself. Ordered the Thorntons hamper for the family - I got all excited by the glitch and before i knew it I'd entered my card details;) Hope it arrives (but there goes my good healthy eating intentions!):)

Dh finishes work tomorrow - can't wait. He drives for a living and the roads in Birmingham are horrendous!

Good news - dd3 won tickets for Holiday on Ice so night out for me and the 3 eldest girls! Got the bug to enter competitions now:)
