Sounds like you've got it sorted this week hun,
I have to admit that it's bliss being on holiday with just my 2 girls (DS is at home with his dad). I hate saying it but it is lovely to go shopping with them because they don't really ask for anything, so you feel much more like treating them!! I hope that makes sense. Going home tomorrow and I'm actually looking forward to cleaning the house, baking, cooking and just generally being a "not shattered" mum for a few days.
Take care,
Cuckoo. xxLight Bulb Moment 29/03/10!!Starting Fresh to get my house and finances sorted! 02/02/120 -
Well approaching the end of my week off and can't wait to go back to work on Monday. Had an ok week but I forgot how exhausting 3 year olds can be. My computer blew up the other day but fortunately dh is friends with the owner of the local computer shop so they fixed it!!
Have had a few low days this weeks which meant I didn't stay up on Wednesday night to wait for the Sainsburys toy sale to go online - luckily, as it then turned out to only be in-store. I did manage to get to the store when it opened and was able to get a few stocking fillers. I was really good and put 2 big things in trolley, caught up in the thrill of them being half price, then I took a moment to be a MSE'er and put them back as I really did not need them. I was really only shopping for my 3 year old and tbh she won't know if things cost £1 or £100, just want things big and bright, not branded and expensive.
I did apply for a new cc a few weeks ago and was accepted - when it arrived, it had a credit limit of £500 - I was hoping to transfer £8000:( Anyway I applied for an egg card with 0% interest until Dec 2011 and got accepted with £5000 limit so at least I can transfer a good chunk now. Got 2 MBNA cards which charge stupid interest and their minimum payment only covers the interest!! I have suspended one of the accounts though so at least they can't start charging me more. Also good to know that I can still get cc!
Anyway, have a good weekendProud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
well done on getting accepted for cc's. I think they would laugh if I applied!!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

Ok, just spent an hour on the SOA calculator.
I initially thought my debts were just under £50,000 way back in January. I Couple of months ago I realised that I had massively miscalculated - forgetting about 1 cc and getting the balance on my loans wrong. Think I had missed at least £7000!!!
Anyway, I have now faced the music and my unsecured debt total is currently £51,086. While this is higher than my initial total of 10 months ago, I know that I have actually paid off at least £6000 and maybe more. It's frustrating because I don't have an exact figure to spur me on!
However, I have learnt a lot in the last 10 months and have made some good friends. Every penny I pay off will now be recorded. I will be back later with a breakdown of credit card and loans, so it will all be on record!! (or named and shamed)

well done honey, and thankyou for your support on my thread.
I too think I'd get a laugh if I applied for a cc.
Keep your chin up sweetie and well done with not getting the toys you didn't need. I can say quite honestly that although I have spent a fortune over the last few days there is nothing that we don' need and it's nice to have some clothes that fit and are warm.

I never included the o/d's on my total but now that I am paying first direct off, I feel the need to show that on my sig as it is a reducing debt............result - my total debt will increase by £6400!! So I feel you pain honey, and its not about being named and shamed its about having guts to admit to it (Thats what I tell myself anyway)LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

My loans total £17,768 and my cc's total £33,242:eek:

Morning - what a lovely start to a Sunday - an extra hour in bed. Sadly no one told demon baby!!
Anyway, did my snowball, my predicted dfd is Dec 2016  However, I haven't put in any of my cc bt rates. I am also paying off a student loan which I haven't included - this will be paid in next 12 - 14 months I think, so I will be £110 a month better off after this. Dh has also applied to have his army pension assessed as it is based on his hearing loss (long story) and as it is getting worse he may be entitled to more, so fingers crossed. I am aiming for Dec 2015 at the latest!!:)Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120
