  • Hi, I've been at home since Thursday, having lost my voice and come down with a cold. Sadly being a mom, I've had to carry on as normal before 9am and after 3pm.:(

    Anyway, no time to be ill today, although I am still croaking away. Got notification from Topcashback this morning that More Than, who I bought my car insurance from in February have finally paid my cash back - £85 for 2 policies!! Will be used to make an over payment - so excited that I can do that in November!! Things are getting back on track financially. Off to France in two weeks and need some spending money for myself and the 2 girls - about £100-£150 should more than cover it!! I do have money put aside to cover this so all is good at the moment!! :)

  • Only going for 3 days - I'm being one of the 'responsible' adults ;) on a school trip with 90 12-13 year olds!!! I must be mad :) Kids have been told to bring a small amount of pocket money - school suggested £40-50. I think that is loads! Anyway, I told the girls I would go halves with their spending money! Then really I only need enough to buy the younger 2 a token present! ;)

  • Hi, Had a busy few weeks, but the good news is that I have kept my MSE head on.
    Went to France and despite the cold it was fabulous - the kids were brilliant, but I couldn't be a teacher - everytime they tried to discipline them, I kept laughing - such a bad influence!!! ;)
    Slowly doing my Christmas shopping - don't think I've paid full price for anything yet! :)
    Demon baby has been quite poorl since I got home on Thursday so has slept most of the time ( mainly in my bed!!!!:() Anyway kids are arguing about when to put Christmas decorations up, will probably be next weekend unless they talk dad into doing them on Wednesday.

    Checked my SOA last night and despite my balance transfer fees, I now £50,513. Will make sure that this is below £50k for the new year.

    Well done you for surviving the trip, not sure I could spend 24/7 with a bunch of teenagers!

    Delighted to hear you will be in the £49,000's next year ( doesn't matter that it is £49,999!)
    LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

    Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84

    There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!
  • Well done on surviving and good to see you back!

    I've got my moneysaving mojo back and have a huge list of new idea's and old survey sites i haven't checked so I'll be dropping by regularly.
