    Evening everyone

Belated Happy New Year to you all.

My ds2 and I hav been to stay with my other half for the new year in London. Took ages to pack the car with wheelchair and zimmer frame for him. We went to the 02 to watch Peter Pan on New Years Eve, It was a really good show and DS2 loved it. They were really good there especially with access arrangements due to his broken leg and really looked after us. As I booked direct they also gave us a discount which was good.

On new years day we went for a walk round Greenwich Park which was lovely, but hard work going uphill with the wheelchair! The weather was lovely and sunny but a little cold

Dinner tonight was Canneloni from the freezer. WM has been on. We only drove back today, but journey was good and only took 4 hours.

I have a dr's appointment tomorrow as I was signed off as have no one else to look after my son and as he isnt allowed in school yet I need to take more time off work, so hope they will be understanding.

I also enjoyed the final episode of Dr Who, think David Tennant is fantastic, I also enjoyed watching hin in Casanova before he played the Dr.

Hugs to anyone who needs or wants one.

    Take Care

    Lynne

My DS1 is like a bear with a sore head. I think he is not looking forward to getting back to college and he also has his final interview with his part-time job on tuesday. I think he will be probably be sacked as he made a mistake which he owned up to but they are being very harsh and have messed him about for the past couple of months. I want to intervene like JC earlier but he wont let me. Anyway I have upset now by asking him to tidy his room and he has just stormed out muttering something about him being incompetent so i think he is feeling vulnerable.

It's so difficult to stand back and let jumped up prats ride rough-shod over your kids isn't it? you have my sympathies - I managed to hold back for a year...before I tore strips of them yesterday. I warned DS1 to go to work today and thank the shift manager for sorting things out for him yesterday and even apologise for me if he felt the need! but not to be at all smug! I just hope he listened !

I hope things work out for your DS

DH cooked Sunday lunch today and dd pointed out we seem to have had a lot of meals like this what with Christmas, New year and DH doing the cooking.

As I was starting to feel more like myself this afternoon, I made salmon steak with green veg and saute potatoes for one dd and two large home made pizzas using left over turkey, green pepper, onions, fresh home made tomato sauce with garlic and basil etc for the rest of us for tea.

DDs wanted dessert so found some strawberry pudding mix and made that up for them.

Think DH is realising how difficult it can be to get meals on the table, shop, cook and keep food warm. He and dd are doing the dishes while I am browsing on here for a while.

Hug to everyone and see you later

tired mum - thanks for mentioning DS1, I think they are speaking again:j he enjoyed his lunch out and we've been to see my Mum together and I'm now cooking him some tea. He's not yet decided whether he's stopping over tonight, I hope he does as we see so little of him.

Jobs all done here. Nice night in with the telly and a bit of FB scrabble.

That's the one, stressedoutmum. As soon as I saw the contestant, I knew you had found it. [I did try looking, but just couldn't see it :o]

Anyway, I've put the ingredients on the shopping list for tomorrow :)

We had a lovely gammon roast dinner. Everyone really enjoyed it.

Just waiting for the strudel to cook now. Strudel and custard

Mummysaver... Glad you had good news:j. Did Pooby offer to bath with him  _pale_ :D
Good news about Janet, Taplady. Hope your DS and his DP sort things out soon. x

Another qiuet day. Cleaned up a bit in the garden but most things are still frozen. Did a fair bit of cleaning and finished the decluttering of drawers and wardrobes. Knitted myself a hat which I'm going to embellish with felt and button flowers tonight and didn't have to make tea as we had a gift voucher for the local pizzeria.

OH back to work tommorrow and the girls go back on Wednesday so I'll get into the office then before OH and I head off to Ireland on Thursday.

    Take care everyone

    Hi all

Sorry I've been MIA. We're now living with the in-laws whilst our house is brought up to habitable standards ie new central heating system and electrics that work. Actually, we're INCREDIBLY lucky as MIL is cooking for us every night and we're splitting the bills. Pretty good deal eh? She is driving me crazy though.....

I hope that you've all had good new years and Christmases. I'll be back again - you've been warned!!

Plus, if there's anyone in the Rutland area and fancies to meet up please PM me!

Seriously, why would you buy that? Made me laugh though!

Laura, chin up my love, you're to enjoy your few weeks of freedom before your new job. (see - positive thoughts!!!) think of all the new recipes you can try out. Find us some amazing cakes and come back and tell us about them, and don't apologise for noy being your usual chippy zippy self, if you can't moan to your pals, who can you moan at?

HARIBO!!! How the devil are you, Mrs? How long are you off "home" for?

Also just wanted to add my own good wishes to JackieO for tomorrow, and to say that I've missed what you;ve been putting in the cake tin lately. I usually read your posts and think "that sounds good" and copy you!!:o

    Jackie X

ETA how many times have I mentioned cake in this one post? Can you tell I'm on a diet?:rotfl::rotfl:
