Same thing here - it's downloading e-v-e-r-s-o-s-l-o-w-l-y. In the end it occurred to me to wonder why I was waiting for it as I'm not likely to make the soup anyway :D
  • That's odd  It worked earlier - honest guv :o
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

I'm not doing much today as trying to rest, so just wanted to send ((((HUGS)))) to everyone and Welcome to our new posters :D

DD2 has just left - she came over with the DGKs as her DH has just gone away for the week on a course, and she couldn't think how to keep the littlies entertained as it's too cold for the park.

Hi all. I believe I have been missed, so that gave me a wee smile and inward glow :)

Not sure how much I have to report. I had a party on new years eve, then went out for a friends birthday new years night. Yesterday was the aftermath and I simply just suffered all day. I think it's all the Christmas catching up as well - I've pretty much been on the go since before Christmas (as we all have of course) . Exhaustion is catching me! :o

I've not done any cooking and have barely eaten - I have turkey stock in the fridge and some leeks ready to be made into soup but I dont know if cooking the stock into soup gives it a new lease of life, or if its past its best.

Just in a bit of a bubble at the moment too. I think it's finally hit me I'm unemployed, and I don't really know how to react or what to do.:o_pale_

Have managed to strip my bed and air it , am going to put a wash on and take the Decs down. Everyone else seems to have taken theirs down in my street.

Might see if my neighbour will lend me her deep fat fryer, shocking hankering for chips and egg.

Need to pull my head out of the sand, and stop pretending the world doesnt exist. I'm supposed to be starting exercise regime but my hips and back are giving me gip so am stuck in catch 22

Anyway, im a bit caught up on everyone but not completely so hugs to all. Thanks to those who missed me and belated Happy new year to all . Each year I hope it's going to be my year - who knows?

Edit - sorry what a depressing post. This is why I haven't posted really

    Evening

I will be watching celebrity BB too. I like to see who goes in and then it depends on the personalities as to whether I watch anymore or not (also depends on what else is on:D)

Have been knitting most of the day and have done myself a lovely cheerful red pompom scarf to wear. I have knit loads of these now for DD's and friends but this is the first one I have done for myself:D Have also had a play around with crochet as I got that new magazine today. Made a huge pan of corned beef hash for tomorrow's tea as back to work and thought it would be nice and warming to come in to. We always like it better the day after making as it seems to thicken up. What isn't used tomorrow will be frozen for an easy meal at a later date:D Must remember that I froze turkey sandwiches for work and take them out in the morning!

Hope you all have a nice evening.

    Hi,
Well I have taken the decorations down and the house looks very bare and sorry for itself. I had to do it today as I had help otherwise it would have been next weekend:(

I have also just bathed one of my dogs as she is in season and keeps rolling in all sorts of unpleasant things:eek:

I have gotten the house organised for the week ahead and am hoping that my cleaner is coming tomorrow but she has not replied to my texts so I think not:mad:

My DS1 is like a bear with a sore head. I think he is not looking forward to getting back to college and he also has his final interview with his part-time job on tuesday. I think he will be probably be sacked as he made a mistake which he owned up to but they are being very harsh and have messed him about for the past couple of months. I want to intervene like JC earlier but he wont let me. Anyway I have upset now by asking him to tidy his room and he has just stormed out muttering something about him being incompetent so i think he is feeling vulnerable.

    Anyway have a lovely evening,
    Hugs,
    Mollyx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Well we have just had supper, a repeat more or less of our Chritsmas lunch, so my £12.99 turkey crown from Aldi has worked out at less than £1 a head, todays supper cost about £1.50 each, cannot tell you exactly as the brussels and potato,s were from the allotment. We still have two portions of turkey left in the freezer enough for another roast meal plus sandwiches with the scrappy bits left after I had finished slicing it. We had another 2 portions from the strawberry roll, would not usually buy it but OH wanted something different after all the rich food at Christmas.

    Tomorrow life returns to normal.......
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
