I missed weighing in last weekend so I'm just going to wait for this weekend to do it. Sounds like everyone else is doing really well. I'm trying the green smoothie route and it seems to be working, my clothes are definitely fitting better and people are commenting that I've lost weight!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Did you go onto the food focus website or did you look up the calorie contents of foods in a book? I'm off work tomorrow so might sit and plan what I could have in a day for 1200 cals - I thought if I planned perhaps 3 or 4 days worth of food, I could just mix and match those meals for a fortnight, what do you think?
Hi Mookie,
I just generally looked up food that wasn't labelled on the web but more often used the calorie content on food packets and labels.
It's quite easy really and to be honest I haven't been hungry.
I'm going to carry on with 1200 cals until the end of January (barring one night out that it may go a bit wrong on!) and see where I am then.
I have been swimming twice a week too (not normal for me) and walked the dog for an hour a day (that's the same as pre-diet though).
Perhaps the different approach has stopped me getting complacent - with SW I sort of knew where I was and cheated a lot!0 -
Sorry for late check in but I have been at a trade fair for a few days. When I weighed myself on Monday, I had lost 6lb. I am ever so pleased.
I am less pleased that I fell off the wagon on Sunday night and had a couple of glasses of champagne.2010 Ebay challenge = £0.132010 Weight loss challenge 2.8Kg/20Kg0 -

Morning all!
It's day 14 and I have lost another 2 lbs!
That's a total of 6.5lbs.
I'm very pleased but will carry on to hopefully lose another 5 lbs - that will take me to a nice round 10 stone. I can really see the difference already but that extra 5 lbs will mean that I'll be thinner than I've been in years.
This calorie counting thing seems to be working for me - I was a SW fan but this seems to work better for me and its making me think about what I can eat and how much value there is in it.
Onwards and downwards!
You have just reminded me that one of my most successful ever weight loss ventures involved calorie counting - I allowed myself 10,000 calories a week which is around 1400 daily.
It's good if you over do it because you can cut back
lost around 3 stone using that method.
I then stopped counting and put it all back on over the following 2 years:o:o
I bought a greatest guide to calories last week but haven't opened it yet.
I must have a notebook somewhere, DS seems to get one a week with his Dr Who magazine

Well I have just been weighed and have lost 5 lb!!!
This is my second week and that makes 11 lb in 2 weeks!!! I am over the moon.
Still following SW from old books. Have not done any exercise apart from playing in snow with kids.
Well done to everyone, the calorie counting ideas look good too, may just have a little look at that web site."If you want to feel rich, just count the things you have that money can't buy":j0 -
Morning all :hello:,
I have lost 2Lb this week :j
So that's 3 Lbs in 18 days. I have been AF for 6 days this week and am averaging 1400ish calories per day.
Well done everyone.
ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0
