    Morning all!
It's day 14 and I have lost another 2 lbs!
    That's a total of 6.5lbs.
I'm very pleased but will carry on to hopefully lose another 5 lbs - that will take me to a nice round 10 stone. I can really see the difference already but that extra 5 lbs will mean that I'll be thinner than I've been in years.

This calorie counting thing seems to be working for me - I was a SW fan but this seems to work better for me and its making me think about what I can eat and how much value there is in it.

    Onwards and downwards!

  • Wow that's fantastic rachelmck! Well done! I really want to try this - I've done WW and SW in the past but have never done calorie counting. Did you go onto the food focus website or did you look up the calorie contents of foods in a book? I'm off work tomorrow so might sit and plan what I could have in a day for 1200 cals - I thought if I planned perhaps 3 or 4 days worth of food, I could just mix and match those meals for a fortnight, what do you think?

sounds like a plan ! i'm using food focus 2, just been to sainsbury's for the cat's food ( i shop at netto cat at sainburys, how does that happen!) but i found planning my meals this week has really helped seem to be finally going down again and with the 1200 cal thing once it's gone its gone sw i would just carry on snacking on free food. Since giving up smoking i need to learn how to sit for an hour without putting something in my mouth

I'm well into food focus too. I have tried ww and sw before but find this much better. It defiantely makes you more aware of what and when you are eating. I do not feel deprived of any food at all i have lost 4lb in two weeks. I also exercise at the gym 3 times a week and find logging this has helped me to see that i do need to eat more on these days. Its fab!!! Off to log todays intake.

  • Well this week has not been great for me. I think I'm pre-mental, bloated and craving chocolate like crazy. I've swung between 1200-1600 cals a day and haven't done anything like the amount of exercise I wanted to. I did some gardening on Monday and my legs and bum have been very sore ever since (at least that's my exuse and I'm sticking to it).

I have 2 days now to try and undo the damage before my weigh in on Saturday. I'll be lucky if I've stayed the same but feel like I've gained. I'm thinking of just skipping the weigh in :o.

There's a belated christmas gift of a chocolate orange waiting for me to eat it all at once .

  • Hi everyone. Lamarsi - you made me laugh with your comment about the cat food - our dog and cat will eat only the best whereas we often manage on leftovers and "smart price" everything! About to sit down and do some meal planning - will report in after a few days and let you know how it's going.
