I have been naughty today :o Out to lunch - had chips and dessert, then eaten chocolate since I've been home

Tomorrow is another day - this is the point where I usually give up but am determined not to this time :D
Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!

    Hulllloo all!

I joined here late last year full of good intentions and with 'The 30-day Shred' gripped in my sweaty mitt, and after a few weeks of good intentions and losing a few pounds I find myself washed up on the post-Christmas shore weighing more than I did when I started back in July last year.

    B**ger.

However, my excuse is that I stopped smoking last year and got married - both damn good excuses to overindulge, and of course I did :o

But now the honeymoon with my new belly folds is well and truly over and I have decided on divorce stating irreconcilable differences - i jump up, they follow way behind...i try on a dress, they pop out all over. And never the twain shall meet.

And so, I have set myself my first weight-loss goal for 2011 and I hope it fits in with some of yours here:

    23.75lbs between 5/1/11 and 30/4/11

    That's about 1.5lbs per week...doable, right?

To achieve this I am cutting way back on alcohol - especially on school nights - swopping some low-GI foods into my routine and starting an exercise regime again. Simples, no?

Ha. Yeah, we'll see. Good luck everyone! :)

    *meep*

P.S. I've had quite a good start so far with a 1.25lb loss, but I suspect that that is mostly the Christmas wine leaving my system. There's nothing quite like the Wrath of Grapes. :D

I have 7lbs to lose to put me back at my pre-Christmas weight. Can't believe I have stuffed my way to being 7lbs heavier.

I aim to lose 1lb a week, I presume that is doable?

The plan? Start to use that stepper I bought several years ago which is gathering dust...maybe walk to the shop occasionally and also cut back on stuffing my face through the cold weather to keep warm and cosy. Do I have to cut back my daily glass of red wine though?

At 7lbs heavier I am not cosy  I am fed up.

Okay, so a pound a week :D is my target.

    Hi Everyone,
I hope you all have been successful at cutting the bad food intake, going to the gym/doing exercise and having lots of no spend days. Please remember if you have a bad day, draw a line under it at midnight and start again when you wake up. Don't punish yourselves. If it plays on your mind, do a little more exercise the next day but do not dwell on it.
Today, I nearly earned myself a NSD. I went to the library yesterday and today, but today the lady wanted me to pay £1.58 late fee, I wish the librarian mentioned it yesterday and I would have paid the fine then instead of today. :-(
Tomorrow I envisage a NSD and organised food day.
To my signature I've added the cost of my monthly gym membership fee and how many times I attend. At the end of the month I'll divide the fee by the number of visits to make sure I'm averaging £4 or under a session. I think it will encourage me to attend the gym. If I only go 3 times this month then it will be £10 per session (not very economical).
The gym scales are crazy - I knew they were lying last Sunday, sticking to the home scales to measure to weight loss this month.
Wishing you all a good weekend.

Its our first weigh in weekend of the New Year

So lovely to see so many of you getting back to a healthier New Year.

For any newbies to the thread if I have thanked you that means I have seen your post and updated the Spreadsheet tracker in Post number 1.

Could all losses please be posted in RED so that I don't miss them.

How has the first week of 2011 gone for everyone then?

I have managed to lose 2.5 lbs this week and MrJ has lost 2lbs which is a good start.

Going to get out for a couple of long walks this weekend as the weather is wet but a bit milder so shouldnt be so icy underfoot. Lots of batch cooking going on too so will be avoiding any takeaways again this weekend:A
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
