ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Hello Folks
Sorry I haven't been around to run the latest weight loss challenge but I am back full of good intentions which I hope to carry out with your help.
Firstly, I am the heaviest I have ever been in my life and am almost into then next stone which I have never reached before.
Secondly, I have accepted that I have to find better coping strategies about the hurdles I have to face in life rather than curling up into a (virtual) ball and wishing it all better.
Thirdly, I need to get my backside into gear and start thinking positively about every aspect of my life.
I find the positivity and support through the ups and downs on this thread very heartwarming and feel proud to have been part of all your weigh loss journeys.
You have all been amazing this year but there is one person in particular who has been so inspriational not only in her weight loss but in other choices she has made in her life. BB I think you are a phenominal human being and am proud to call you my friend.
Enough of the soppy talk now, time to grasp the coming year by the balls (sorry Pepe) and lets get to grips with whatever challenges we set ourselves.
Thankyou all so much
Louise xx
p.s I intend to start the next challenge on New Years day so watch this space:)But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
I will be joining the New Year challenge with a big positive
My first goal of the year is to lose 3.5 stone by May 19 (my birthday). This is in addition to the weight lost since June but will include whatever I've gained over Christmas and New Year (I will find out on Sunday!) I am not going to beat myself up over a gain - whatever it is - because I've had a rocky few weeks (for those who don't know, I finally split with a certain person who I won't even dignify with the title 'OH' on 16 December and feel so, so happy about how life has really blossomed in the few short days since and I have had the BEST Christmas I could have wished for) and I am proud that although I have eaten since my life started to go a bit turbulent in mid -November, I haven't gone horrifically mad as I would have done in years gone by. I am guessing that will take me to around 9 or 9.5 stone off and although I will still be 'overweight' I will make a judgement call at that point how much more to lose , I might be happy to stay a stone or so overweight as I will still be something like a size 14 and that really is fantasy land for me!!!
I am looking forward to 2011 so much. Further weight loss is just part of the exciting stuff I am hoping will develop as the weeks and months go by.
