STS for me this week, again! Am getting annoyed but it's better than a gain. that's for sure. Have stepped back up the exercise so hopefully the inches will fall even if the pounds don't.

    S - grapes

    Hi,

I know this post has been going for a while - but could I join in? Im a newbie to MSE.

I have been struggling to lose 2st I gained when pregnant nearly 4 years ago .

I lost a stone this year (but have gained 6lbs over the last 6 weeks due to hols, weddings and other events etc), so I have 20lbs to lose to get to my ideal weight, and fit into all of my pre-baby clothes (although its been so long not sure whether they will be fashionable any more:o).

I follow weight watchers, although do it at home as I cant justify paying £5 per week to be weighed. I probably know the points values of everything, and know what to do - just need to put it into practice, and im hoping posting my losses/gains will be the kick up the back side I need to get rid of this weight.

I go to boots to get weighed every Friday, so this Friday will be my first weigh in.

You are more than welcome Emma, jump on in :D

Well, I was a stupid idiot yesterday. I ate some chocolate and was ill overnight. What a donkey I am. I knew that 2 milky ways and about 8 ounces of milk chocolate really wasn't ideal but I still went through with it 'because I'm going on holiday and don't weigh in for 2 days'.....sigh... I was up in lots of pain from around 1-6am , threw up around 5 which meant the pain would start to subside slowly and have made an appointment to see my GP when I return from my holiday to talk about if it actually is gallbladder and the way forward. Portugal has some lush cakes and pastries and last year the daily trips to the supermarket were to fill the basket with yummy goodies but it is going to be a very different situation this year. Thing is though - in reality lots of people eat low fat, healthy foods day to day and so going on holiday just means they eat more of the same so it's not as if I'll be doing anything weird and the supermarket did have a lovely fruit and vegetable section and I'm happy to have chicken/tuna/fish salads at night.

Shhhhhhhh........don't tell my Cambridge Counsellor what I ate.........cough...............

Last year we walked Villamoura at midday and it was over 30C (I was not happy at setting out so late in the day!!). We went the wrong way on the way there and using map my run when I got back home, I found out I had done a 5 mile walk there and back and it pretty much nearly killed me in the heat. It will be interesting to see how I get on if we walk there again, the more direct route is about 3.5 miles there and back.

I've lost over twice the weight of my luggage allowance so far and I could hardly pick up my case off the floor yesterday, god knows how I carried more than 2 of them around with me!

I have started to make a little plan about how to celebrate my getting to target which I'm hoping will happen mid Spring sometime next year. I won't say much yet but I know what I want to do and now I know who I am going to do it for ;)

And no........it isn't a charity place on the London Marathon :eek::eek::eek:

See all you lovely people when I get back.

    Hi there,

I was just looking through this thread when I came across your post. I was fobbed off with the diagnosis of indigestion or constipation because I was under 40 for about 9 months before I ended up in hospital with gallstones and a gallbladder infection. I eventually had my gallbladder removed and I have had no heartburn or pain since (about 17 months ago). It was the best thing that happened! I would say to pester for an ultra-sound if they try to dismiss you. It may take a while for a date for removal but the pain killers really work in the mean time.
    Hope you're ok. :(

Also, please can I join this thread. I am hoping to loose about 14lb by Christmas. I have signed up to Fitness First for a 6 week, no commitment membership (only available online). I had some money left over from my holiday so decided to join.

Is it weighin over the weekend?

Hi everyone, another 1lb off this week, 2 more lbs till I am back in the 9 stones :)

I did pat myself on the back today though when I caught myself grumbling about it only being another 1lb again. Since I had Lils (which will be 2 years in a few weeks) I've lost 3 stones :)

    Have a great week

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
  • 1 lb off this week. Slow and steady! Off to 4th exercise class of the week shortly - what does a girl have to do for the weight to fall off! I'd really like to see more than a measly 1lb for the rest of this challenge - some serious weight loss is needed (even if I have passed the obese line woo hoo).

    Have a good week all!

    Good Morning everyone:)

Managed to lose 1lb this week, very pleased with that as although MrJ and I have been walking a lot I have had a few unhealthy things this week:o

Must get back into the swing of studying, my re-sit exam is in 7 weeks:eek:
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
