Hello:wave:, 3lb off for me this week which is a relief after last week - only four more to go. Would really like to do this by the end of May...

I bought some quark on impulse... what do I do with it:o?

Basically quark can be used as a replacement for cream cheese so it can be used to make a sauce creamy. It also takes on the taste of whatever you put in it so I have used it for low fat dips. Garlic and chive, blue cheese (you only need a tiny bit of blue cheese and it takes on the flavour)

I am sure there are loads more uses:D
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Thanks but 2lb of it is just the weight I put on last week:o.

Could I make a carbonara type sauce with the quark if I used some stock or something to thin it down a bit?

Yes that would work Skint although be careful with the quark, make sure you stir it in at the end when off the heat or it will curdle and go yuk......it will still taste OK. Here are some ideas http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=2165960&postcount=44

I have just made the most amazing low fat rice pud (syn free for those on SW)

Put a cup of pudding rice in a bowl, stir in 2 heaped tablespoons of powdered sweetner, a tsp of cinnamon and 2 cups of skimmed milk (HEa for sw).

Cover in tin foil and bung in the oven until cooked. It really is a proper filling pudding;)

Merci beaucoup Beanie! I'm so looking forward to eating a bit more - not convinced 18 points is enough.

    Morning everyone.......

First day back after 2 weeks and 1 day off:(

Armed with all my food for the day and the determination not to end up with a Bounty Bar in my hand by 3pm:o

Hectic week ahead so I doubt that I will be able to pop in much but I will try :D

    Have a good week everyone.
