absolutely not! well done you! i love giving presents like that - and no doubt i have received a few, but i'd never know (unless they told me). i am also known to "recylcle" presents when suitable... (eg my mum gave me a lovely fluffy pink dressing gown not realising that i already had one - so i in turn gave it to a friends teenage daughter for her birthday. it's brand new and hasn't gone to waste - so everyone is happy!)

It's never too late KPR! Welcome
OK, the Dutch CC seems pretty straight forward. And you can transfer funds from CC to current account. So, I could do that and use the funds to clear the UK cards and then just make a payment to Dutch CC each month instead.
But....I am having trouble finding the APR/interest rates. I remember that the application mentioned something about 11.9%, which is wayyyyyyyy better than I am currently paying AND, I would reduce any fluctuations caused by the exchange rate (some months I have less money here than usual, as had to send more home for debts).
I wish I could find an email address to ask them some questions though. The phone number is premium rate and I don't want to make that call around my colleagues.

No not mean at all - in fact, when I've home made a present for people, they seem much more pleased with it, unless they're just being kind.
i've found this, too. the boys and i usually bake xmas presents for their teachers. this year, due to lack of time (as puppy had just arrived...) we bought some little bits instead. i know they liked them, but we didn't get the rave reviews we normally do when we turn up at school with platefuls of homemade goodies!Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !

Just had a call from the MOT garage. I was expecting a bill of £200+ but it looks like being about £320. I've no problem with that. I have the money. It's a work van that is used pretty much every work day and pulls around quite a bit of weight most of the time so a bit of wear on steering etc is to be expected. It's done 81,000+ miles and is 7 years old so it's got to the point where it's going to cost a bit to fix from time to time. I'm just grateful that nothing bigger was found wrong with it.0

OK, found this:
The interest rate may vary and for the ABN AMRO Credit Card is currently 1.164%will send you a copy of this form signed by the bank.
per month, which is equivalent to an effective annual interest rate of 14.9%. For the ABN AMRO Gold Card it is currently 1.016%,
which corresponds with an effective annual interest rate of 12.9%. The bank will notify any change in these percentages to you in
writing. You will find further information in the Spread Payments prospectus. Look on the internet for this (https://www.abnamro.nl/
creditcards) or call ABN AMRO Creditcard Services on 0900-8016 (only available within the Netherlands). After approval the bank
So, typical APR is 14.9%. Again, still cheaper than UK cards.
Just need to find out what charge is applied for transferring funds to current account. Maybe it's the same? Or is that wishful thinking on part?! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Lol. I am paying it Niddy. I need to keep that credit record in check
ABN AMRO is indeed the Dutch bank I use.
Seems I would be eligible to apply for a gold card with them. ie, I meet the minimum net income requirement. And the standard APR for that is 12.9% which is obviously lower.
Umming and ahhing here. lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0
