The funeral must have been so awful, and emotionally quite draining as you say.

Pigs kidney and lamb liver - eughh! rather you than me. But you're right, cats seem to love it, my Mum's cat would be all over her when she was preparing stuff like that.

Thanks gilli, I knew the funeral was going to be bad but it was worse than I thought and had to fight the urge to just get out of there. :( Watching my friend and her OH walk down the aisle of the church with the tiny coffin was terrible.

Yes, the cats eat some horrible stuff but on the upside the liver and kidneys are nice and cheap. Only cost about 80p each and bought loads of chicken wings from Asda today for £1.80. :j

Passed my assessment at work today so going onto full wage from tomorrow. :j On the other hand I now have a panel to myself and will have to learn most of the job as I go along.

Have been avoiding shred for the last couple of days as exhausted by early shifts at work. Have to get up at 5am tomorrow for my shift starting at 6am. Will try to get back into it next week as have been seeing a difference after doing it.

Really need to get started with the sock monkeys for my nephews but feeling so tired.

Managed to get up at 5am for work but it was a struggle - still 3 more earlies to go this week. On my way out of the close I had to step over a drunk man sleeping on the stair landing. Got a bit of a fright seeing him lying there! Think he must have got home, sat down on the stairs for a rest and passed out! :rotfl:

Feeling very sleepy now as got home from work after 2pm, did dishes, put a washing on and put one away then did the ironing. Managed to knock the iron off the ironing board onto the carpet and now have an iron shaped dent in it. Thankfully it's not black though.

OH made a roast dinner which was very nice and then we watched some tv. :) Was nodding off for a while but a cold drink has perked me up a bit. Think I'll have a bath soon and will need an early night as up at 5.30am tomorrow. :(

Okay, OH has just decided he would rather go and visit his friend next weekend than spend time with me. It will be my only weekend off for the next month - I actually think he was praying that I would be rostered in at work so he could go off for the weekend!

This is the man who's been complaining that he misses me and never sees me since I started my new job!? But he'd rather trek up to Aberdeen than do something with me on my only weekend off. Naturally I'm not invited.

So far, he's tried to bribe me with dinner out so I'll "let" him go! :rotfl:Maybe I should just let him and try and organise something with my friends. Knowing my luck they will be busy and/or working though.

Other thing is though he's going away for weekends in September and October. Where am I going? Err, nowhere. I think I need to start getting out more. I just know if it was me leaving him at home all the time I'd get the sad pouty face to make me feel bad.

Still feeling the rage but have just told OH to go since he'll just sit at home with a pouty face otherwise. Just annoyed since I can't organise something else to do - my friends are working or busy and my mum is away to Ireland for the weekend. So I get to spend my one weekend off sitting in on my own like a lemon. :(

Feeling even more tired today and still haven't done Shred or started on the sock monkey for my nephew. Just can't be bothered and was feeling quite weepy last night and not really looking forward to my time off now.

Not posted here for a couple of days, not been feeling up to it as still tired. :( Working a back shift tonight and then I'm off for 5 days. :j

Will try and do Shred tomorrow and get back into doing it regularly.

Met my mum after work yesterday and went for lunch which was nice. She's looking after my sister's puppy just now and said he's really scared of her stairs. :rotfl: He won't go near them and just whimpers when she tries to show him how to use them. Poor wee thing, my sister lives in a flat so he really doesn't know what the stairs are! He's been enjoying running about in my mum's garden as well. :D

OH is heading off to Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon. Still a bit annoyed about it and have let him know it.

I'm now off work for 5 days. :j Will be nice to get a rest after 7 days at work. Had to phone around this morning as the HR department have somehow put me down as a man! All the documentation I've been receiving has had Mr on it! :rotfl: So called the pensions people and the health cover people to correct it. Already told one of my managers about my payslip being Mr as well and she said she would contact HR for me - just hope she's done it.

My mum is in Ireland now and said it's lovely and sunny - lucky her, it's very wet here. She's also asked me to keep an eye on my brother, especially as he's looking after the puppy on his own. I'm not sure if that's a good combination!

Will probably nip out and see my sister and the kids for a bit later, so might go round to see my brother as well. Tried to phone him but no answer - probably still in his bed.

Did shred level 2 this morning for the first time in a week. :o Wasn't struggling as much as I thought I would after my break but it was still a hard workout. Really need to try and keep it up, even if it's only every 2 days when I'm working. I do feel better after doing it and can see a difference in my arms, they're more toned than they were.

OH is off to Aberdeen, so just me and the cats until Monday night.

Have managed to make a good start on the sock monkey for my youngest nephew as it's his birthday next week - have done the body and tail. Everything is cut out, just need to sew and stuff the bits, then sew them onto the body. Couldn't find any good pirate socks so am using blue and white stripy socks for the nautical look (:rotfl:) and will try to add a bandana or a patch to make him more pirate-like.

Think I will try and write a couple of reviews today for Ciao and Dooyoo as have been neglecting that recently. They're handy for small amounts and I can just pay it straight off my cc when I get the money from Ciao.

No real plans as we are seriously skint until OH is paid next week and I'm not paid until the week after. We're almost at our O/D limit.:eek:Not good. :( Once we know what my pay will be every month we can work out a budget so we aren't in the O/D all the time. Think we've been too relaxed this month and just spent when we felt like it because I'm working again.

Did my shred again today so feeling good. :j Just ran a bath so will go and have that soon.

Managed to write two book reviews yesterday, so have saved one and posted one on Ciao. Also managed to do the sock monkey arms and ears and have sewn the arms on to the body, so will try and do the ears later. Then will just need to do the face and eyes and think about pirate accessories.

OH also decided he's coming home this evening instead of tomorrow so will have a bit of company. After all that fuss, he's only spent one night in Aberdeen!

Had a bit of a late night cleaning spurt last night so cleaned the bathroom, scrubbed my hob and gas rings and did the ironing. Stripped the bed this morning and put some towels in the wash. Just need to make the bed up again with nice clean sheets. If only I could be bothered ironing the duvet cover - it's really really creased - but I can't so it'll just have to be creased. :o

Really fancy toast and scrambled egg so might have that for lunch after my bath. :)

It's raining again and I'm feeling very lazy so not sure if I will go out today or not. My mum gets back from Ireland in the afternoon, might go and see her tomorrow.

Managed to make myself some scrambled egg yesterday but it wasn't as good as OH's. He got home in the evening and made my dinner, then we fell out for a bit cos I was still huffy. (I know how to hold a grudge :o).

Didn't really do anything but did manage to finish my pirate sock monkey for my nephew's birthday next week. I think he needs more pirate-y accessories but I'm not sure, I think he looks okay though and definitely neater than my earlier monkeys. :)
