Thanks saving - I'm nearer Glasgow than Edinburgh but I know the Grassmarket is quite a nice area to wander around. Flying_Fresian is probably the best person to ask as she lives in Edinburgh - ask on her diary or the pad thread.
Went round to my mum's today to sit in the garden and get some sun and fresh air which was lovely. My sister brought the kids round and their new giant paddling pool.:rotfl: Was quite funny though and enjoyed seeing them.
My OH and his pal went out for lunch and just rolled in steaming drunk. :rotfl:Very irritating and breathing alcohol fumes on me. Yuck!Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. We've driven to Manchester and back a few times as that's where the breeder we got our cats from lives. It's quite a long drive but not too bad - my OH was brought up in Leicester so we've driven there a few times, Sheffield (to see his friends) and down to Warminster where his parents live now, which is a reeeaallly long drive!
:rotfl:I was staying away from the giant paddling pool as my 3yo nephew was chucking plastic balls out of it at me and the twins were splashing! Plus the water had grass, crisps and beasties in it as the kids kept wanting in and out with their crisps in hand. _pale_ :rotfl:
OH was ill several times last night but only had five drinks - now thinks his drink was spiked as it's really unusual for him to be sick after drinking, especially when he hadn't had much.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. OH has been off work today and ill all day - poor him.
I picked my nephews up from school and nursery and was going to drop the little one off at my sister's to take the older one to the library but the little one cried so pitifully about being left at home that I gave in and took him with us, much to my older nephew's disgust.:rotfl: The wee one was actually very well behaved in the library and sat and "read" books while I browsed. I came back to find him looking at Harry Potter in Polish! :rotfl:
Took them back to my flat where the wee one terrorised the cats by trying to cuddle them. (i.e. bodily pin them to the floor and cuddle them and go "Oh look I'm hugging her!" in delight :rotfl:) OH made lasagne and the boys were quite happy eating it. My older nephew said "It even looks like one you get from the shops!" I think that was a good thing.
It was quite funny having them round and I enjoyed it even though it was tiring, should really do it more often.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £10,546, Car loan CC 0% BT £5200. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -

Kids and food always gets messy, I have a 7 year old nephew and hes still fairly messy now - especially with ice cream
Cant believe someone would spike your OH thats aweful, hope hes feeling better soon.
Sounds like you had fun today with the nephews - it keeps you busy and less likely to spend any money that way :rotfl:The £2 Coin Savers Club 2010 No. 105 - £8 totalPAD commencing 28th April 2010: £431.42 total:ADreaming of being debt free!:A0 -
Thanks saving, OH had to take today off work as well but is feeling a lot better now thankfully. :j
Yes, I gave the 3yo a piece of bread with nutella on it and he had big chocolate marks at either side of his mouth. :rotfl:The 8yo isn't so bad but the twins are only 18 months so very very messy eaters.
Not been up to much today as OH still not very well but he did help me make onion tart for dinner - again from Weezl's website and very yum it was too. :T

Need to get some housework done today as well as some job hunting. OH is back at work, was really ill until last night.
Good news money wise is that we have managed to pay for the MOT, car tax and unexpected factor bill plus all our usual bills without going into the O/D this month. This is mainly because OH managed to sell a high value item on Ebay, giving us an extra few hundred and we had saved some money for the car tax before I left my job.
I really need a job to come up soon for me though.I'm still registered with the admin bank (and have never heard anything from them) and am in the system for the other company I had two interviews with but haven't heard back from anywhere else. Seriously depressing and demotivating.

Hi Sashy,
Sorry to hear that there is still no luck on the job front. Keep looking though and get yourself out there, I know its hard when you are not getting anywhere, but keep at it.
Glad to hear the OH is feeling better today, must have been a virus or something making him sick. The £2 Coin Savers Club 2010 No. 105 - £8 totalPAD commencing 28th April 2010: £431.42 total:ADreaming of being debt free!:A0 -
Good luck with the job hunting, it can be really disheartening, but you seem to be doing well with the recipes. Glad the cats like the cheaper cuts.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
