I too had a chunk of cheese as a gift. Blue Stilton it was. I put stock, broccoli, onion, potato and cheese in a pot and made the most divine soup. I didn't know we liked blue Stilton but I did not want to waste it. Google ideas.
Goats cheese tarts with onion will freeze after making. Make cheese sauces and freeze tooGrocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -
You could make cheese scones, add a cheesy topping to a fish or shepherds pie, homemade pizza, or cheese tarts which is a concoction I came up with, make up some pastry, roll out and cut as you would for jam tarts but add cheese instead.
Maybe add a bit of nice cheese to spag bol as a treat or use it as a topping on a pasta bake. Really is lots you can do!0 -

Hi skaps,
We have an older thread that should help so now that your thread has dropped down the board I've added your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.

I have lots of different cheeses to use up, goats cheese, brie, manchego, cheddar and apart from making cheese sticks have no other ideas.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Manchego makes the most fantastic toasted cheese sandwiches. Goats cheese is nice with mushrooms - grill a large field mushroom per person and, when it's cooked, top with a slice of goats cheese (or a few pieces if it's the crumbly type) and stick back under the grill until melted - lovely in a bun like a burger, or with salad or grilled veg. This works well with brie, too.Back after a very long break!0
