Oh no
I think Birdie and Lara are talking a lot of sense though. I wouldn't cancel the pros, even though I'd want to! I think it's hard having friends do things like this for you - at our graduation ball I suggested we have my friend's fella as a photographer and although he's very good, his flash wouldn't work on the night and all the pics turned out blurred and he ended up giving people their money back and he felt awful and I felt awful for recommending him etc etc! Very awkward altogether - and that's just a uni pi$$ up. you don't want that with your wedding photos! I agree that you could ask the friend to do the cake and dance for you as they'll be in the dark and not as good anyway. It's a bad situation though, they should have asked what your timetable was for the day and if it went over their specified hours they should have told you long ago
Lovely furniture Birdie, love that sofa! I wanted a corduroy one but we had to go with what the second-hand shop hadWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Ooo nice new furniture Birdie! I like the teal very much. Tete, how's the new house? Hope you are enjoying it:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0

Hi Lara, it's great thanks! Still a few bits we need but we now have a bookcase in the living room (OH seems to have it in his head that we only need one?! Er no, there are going to be two more in [STRIKE]my sewing room[/STRIKE] the spare bedroom!) - enjoying co-habiting thus far though
How are you? When are you off to Uganda?!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I am good, off to Uganda 2 October _pale_ I'm getting really nervous about getting my work done there and managing without OH for 8 weeks.
And then also I'm really excited :j
Bit of a headless chicken then really! Hoping to be around here still when I'm away. I'm going to be a visiting student at a uni there, with all important desk and internet connection.
So glad you're enjoying life with your OH, that's wonderful. Haha good to hear you have taken over the spare room as well!! Just as it should be.
Birdie - get well soon ((hugs)):A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

I agree with Tete Lara, you'll be so busy it'll fly by! And there's always Skype so you can talk to and see your OH! Although I'd be useless being away from my OH for so long, but I'm a right homebody!
I've been signed off for another week by my doctor, they took some blood and the doctor thinks I could have glandular fever or something called Gilbert's Syndrome which is something to do with the enzymes in my liver being 'squiffy' (her words!) which makes getting over things like viruses harder... not really sure what she was on about but I do remember her saying that there's no treatment, I just have to wait to get better in either case! Not too happy!
It's good to hear that it's going well chez Tete! Good girl for claiming the spare room as your sewing room! I had to laugh at the bookcase comment, that was just like OH when we moved in! We've got 3 and they're all full, OH can't really complain as some of the books are his... like 20%!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

He has about 6- two about construction, three I bought him and one other! The spare room also has his weights in (which he's been encouraging me to join in with ) but yes it'll mostly be mine once I get my shelves in
So, what, you're liver's drunk?! Seriously though, doesn't sound good, hope you feel better soonWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Calmer today, I think you're all right tbh. I think I'm going to stick with the original photographers, accept we don't get pro pics of the first dance, and just quietly feel a bit screwed.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Have a job interview on Friday. Need to hit the interview revision as well as do all the clothing prep. Why did I agree to moving it forward. Oh yeah to show I am flexible and willing to go the extra mile.0

Good luck Poolie! Hope you get the new job - hope it's much more fun and more money too
I hate deciding what to wear for interviews, it's a bit of a minefield, especially for the ladies.
I had a good start to the day - an MSEr offered some tickets to a big music festival in our local park this weekend, and I got them! Though they were a competition win so need photo ID to collect themGuess it will be luck (and charm) on the day...
