It's like you've de-virginised it!
I do agree with this, and it IS Birdie's honeymoon so it's very special. However Birdie, you must have some old clothes from last time you went to Dominican, I don't think you really need a whole new Primark wardrobe for your cheapy holiday...And DINAH. Veil photos!
Yes I agree with this too.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I only want a bikini and a couple of vests... jeez it's a £30 max spend! I don't have £200 to waste on clothes, if I did I'd be heading to Monsoon for 'real' clothes!
I am feeling a little better, thanks Cinny! Not quite 100% yet, still getting really easily tired but as long as I don't do a lot I feel fine! Mum's picking me up in an hour to take me out for lunch and a little shop (hopefully that means she'll buy me a present!), I don't know how tired it'll make me but it's a good test!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. :rotfl: at the Primark chat. Is it really so cheap? I never shop in there because the one on Oxford Street is always so horrifically busy. It's about 50 people usually in the queue for changing rooms! The one closest to me in Hackney is a bit grim. I need some new summer tops for going away to Uganda, and seem to have missed the sales, although I did go to Westfield and everything. Put on half a stone so feeling a bit flabby for shopping and all the nude style stuff makes me look all one colour - I don't know who can really get away with that stuff.
Hope you feel better today Birdie! Really would love to see pics of your veil too Dinah:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Lara - Last time I went in I got 2 new vests, a long top to wear with leggings and a fat belt for £9. Thankfully the one near me isn't too bad, and I tend to get there in the afternoon so before the school girls get there. But it's a no go place for me in the summer holidays! I'd go to them for vests though, at the start of the year I got 4 vests from them (£1.50 each) and I've only had to move one down into the jammies box (last week) And that's only because I never seprate my colours for washes so it had gone abit too off white! I'll stop rambling now, I do like Primark
Glad you're feeling better BirdieI don't even think you'll spend £30 tbh! Do you have a Next outlet near you?? I went in mine at the weekend and they were selling their bikini pieces off for £1 each. Thought it might be worth a mention if you have one!

I agree Lara about Oxford street Primark, is horrendous. The one by me is a bit small and rubbish. I have gone off them a bit recently anyway but for basics they are good.0

I don't go to Primark - nothing ever sits right on me and even the size 8s look big and square and end up in the bin after one wash. But then I also have far, far too much 'basic' clothing, and I'm trying to buy 1 nice £100 item now rather than lots of £15 bits of tatt.
Veil. It's hard to photograph! I've attached the comb and done all the outside lace, but the inside decoration is only pinned at the moment. Should be able to do it this Saturday and Sunday though.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I got all excited when I went to Oxford Street because of the mahooosive Primark but we walked out straight away, it was awful! And it smelled really bad! It was a huge difference to all of the lovely shops we'd been in before, my Mum muttered, 'Can we please go back to Selfridges?' and we more or less ran there! I have a couple in my semi regular shopping spots that are pretty good so I always get a good haul, when I was looking for my pirate costume I got a top, skirt, belt (that OH stole for his costume!), necklaces, earrings, rings, bangles, hairband all for about £15!
Had a lovely afternoon with my Mum, she got me some lovely things from the Monsoon sale and a fancy new eyeliner and we went to Prezzo for lunch, yummy! We went to a posh bra shop to look at wedding undies and the lady more or less stripped me down and kept putting bras on me, having a feel, pulling them off and putting others ones on. Was very uncomfortable, I don't really want to have my boobies out in general, let alone in a small cubicle with a strange woman! She finally decided on the right bra and stated that it was £80, errrr I don't think so! Even though my Mum is paying I can't wear an £80 bra!
ETA: This took me so long to type that I missed the veil photos! It's looking great, well done!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Oh dear Birdie - I think at times like wedding undie shopping and childbirth, your body's not really your own!
Looking good Dinah, are they little leaves? Off to have a nose on your other thread...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Next time I get ill I'm calling Birdies mum in. She sounds fab!
Bar taking you to a scary bra lady  I told myself I'm never going to a bra fitting after that episode of SATC where the hairy bra lady helps herself to hoisting up Mirandas manjalas. No thank you!
The veil looks lovely Dinah. Thought you were showing me your curtains until my eyes sorted themselves out. (Serves me right for not wearing my glasses and squinting!)
Hope everyone's dandy today. Almost the weekend!I was planning to go into the city after work and get my Brother his birthday present but it's so gloomy I might just go home and watch the soaps. See how it's looking come hometime!
