I have to try one cake to check how they're doing and if they make the grade, but I just do an extra 20mins on the cross trainer to try to balance it out :D

Could you chew them up and spit them out, like with wine tasting?! Don't think I could bear to like!

Shame about the fewer guests but I guess it's a silver lining! Odd about the workmates, unless it's the distance and not wanting to drive so they can have a drink issue.

Your colleagues sound well harsh! Speaking of bingo wings, I saw something on the health board this morning, apparently this month's Zest magazine has a 4 week programme of exercises for in the home which is supposed to be good. I'm going to buy it now - OH does exercises and weights every night so I thought if I do them at the same time it might motivate me to actually do them! I sort of promised myself the 30 day shred thing too once I had my own living room to do it in... How far did everyone get with that?

Hope you feel better soon Birdie :(

I bought that DVD Tete, have done it once :o. To be fair I'm going to 4 classes a week, stretch and tone, balance, Zumba and pump - goodness knows why I'm not like an athlete by now :D. Oh and also a little bit of walking too!

So Dinah, if you already have a price for a buffet say and only half of the guests are going to come, can the price be altered nearer the time? That's my fear, ordering food for x amount then only half coming!

Haven't even put the food order in yet, thats not the issue, the issue is that we're supposed to have a minimum of 60 people at the day do so we don't pay a room hire fee, and we now have 51.

That's not so good, how much is the room hire if the numbers are down? Surely they wouldn't bother over 9 people - people pull out all the time. The place I've seen had a price based on 50 but we're only have 20, they're adjusting the price but room hire is still free (I hope)!

£500 for room hire, which we wouldn't pay, we'd just bump people up to all day guests!

Darn shame about those people not being able to come, I'd be gutted but I guess at least it has a financial upside! I don't know how many cupcakes you're making to trial, but to get them out of your house and out of temptation you could always take them to Church on Sunday? Or maybe your church does an OAP tea morning? Just an idea, thought everyone in your house was on a pre-wedding diet or something! Hows NIM getting on with his?

Hope everyone's having a nice day! Lovely and sunny here but I want to spend the afternoon completely blitzing my room, so I'm pretending it raining and horrible!

Either way, Dinah, it's very impressive! I can't believe people can be so b1tchy about someone's wedding photos! I'm getting really obsessed with Bulging Brides - anyone else seen it? They aren't very bulging, but they buy dresses that are clearly too small and get "back bum" :D

I also got really into the shredding, Tete. I did it for about 3 weeks straight (before stupid work commitments got in the way) and it totally changed my shape. I enjoyed it too!

Taking them all to the hen party! Only making 6 of each flavour, I'll send some spares to NIMs work too.

NIM has stuck to the diet for the last few days, one more day of the no carbs bit to go. Will see what the scales say at the weekend.

Going out for my grandparents wedding 55th wedding anniversary in an hour, just lunch at a local pub. Grannie wouldn't be comfortable with anything bigger.

Not gutted they can't come at all, it really tells you who matters. And if someone books their wedding 5 days after yours in full knowledge that this will mean about 30 guests have to make an either or decision, I'm not about to be sad they can't come! Hotel were fine about reduced numbers though.

NIM and dad are tearing one another apart doing the new house up. NIM won't stop taking phone calls, which means he's spending at least 50% of the 'working' time on the phone, while dad used my very expensive new towels despite being asked not to in order to mop up a nasty leaky radiator with all that oily black stuff and £80 of towels have had to be binned - despite there being working rags and towels there he could have used. So I'm mad at both of them!

Lol I know I saw it few nights ago - the bride was 150lbs - about 10 stone 10, but at 5"6 she basically looked a curvy size 12, it was her own damned fault for buying an unlined column fit satin dress literally slit to the navel - that was never, ever going to hide any lumps and bumps!

I wanted to do shred, but the knee is still nowhere close.

I've decided I'm going to try to do the meat and veg only thing for the week before the wedding, try to clear my skin up a bit, although without sugar I might snap and kill someone!

How annoying about the towels! I'd be sending the Daddy a bill for them! I thought I had it bad when OH got bleach all over one of my favourite towels!

Good attitude to the absent wedding guests, a lot of the time you feel like you have to invite certain family members but they're not exactly going to make or break your wedding! The most important people are coming and it saves you some money so it's all good.

Went to the doctors this morning and it appears that I have some sort of virus that I just have to 'ride out' for 10ish days... I'm not really good for anything but sitting around doing nothing so I'm all for the whole resting thing! It's annoying though, I keep seeing things that I want to do, like sort out the spare room, but I can't! After 10 minutes of doing anything I'm knackered!

I wish I had Sky so I could watch things like Bulging Brides!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
