Don't be boring, willy straws are hilariously tacky! :D How did it go??

Hope everyone's having a nice weekend! We went out for dinner today, got so annoyed as all the waiters were more interested in chatting up the pretty girls next to us so we were left waiting for ages, and they just kind of dumped the food down without a word, so I made my point by not tipping. And I always tip! But in all fairness, the girls were very pretty! Ended up at this outlet center looking at rings afterwards :o OH told me that maybe next year he'll 'invest in some metal' I think he's decided he wants to do it properly now, rather than just this promise we have at the moment. Eep! :D

Agree with Cinny! Willy straws are just a bit of fun :)

    Hope it went well!

oooh that is so exciting cinny!! eeek! I dont think the bf and I are thinking about that sort of thin any time soon, our theory is that we're both young really and I would rather have a shortish engagement rather than wait for ages and ages! It would be so nice though!
He's away at the moment and I do miss him a lot :( grr!! Dinah I'm glad you had a lovely hen night :) How was NIMs stag?

Been a spendy weekend for me over here, still haven't worked out what I owe my friend :( but hey - I just got t0 £10 on my scratchies (anyone else still do this?) so that'll be a little bonus in a bit!

Hi all! Hope everyone's had a nice weekend! We were at the races on Friday, managed to break even though which was good - then spent the weekend with various plumbers getting the boiler fixed and the washing machine fitted, then fixed after it leaked - domestic bliss eh?!

Glad the hen weekend was good Dinah - did you learn any good cocktails? And how exciting Cinny!!!

Tink - Pain about your OH being away, I don't know how you do it! I kind of miss OH already and I only saw him yesterday :o Well done on the scratchcards! I can't do it anymore, silly me got excited when I reached £10 on both and withdrew without getting the extra pennies!

Hope everyone's having a nice morning! Sounds like a bother with the plumbers Tete, I bet your tea making skills got tested though!

Really weird this morning, started my new hours cause with the girl I work with being off but I still got up at 6am like normal. Hmph! Ended up pricing up my toiletries list (£378.14!) going to the supermarket to get some cat food and down to the bottle bank before I came in. It's sooo cold here today too, I have my uggs on!
  • I have sandals on and had to put the heat right up in the car on the way in to toast my toes!

Is that a list of toiletries you have, or ones you want?!

I am waiting in for someone to come do a check of our boiler, they were meant to be here by 10 so think i may be very late for work. Thankfully I have a very understanding manager.

Tete - hope all the plumbing problems sort themselves out, always seems to happen when you first move in.

The ones I have! In all fairness, I a lot of them were presents or free and £120 of that is perfumes (and only £55 of that are ones I bought myself :D) I decided I need a big scary total of all my toiletries to stop me buying more. Doing my makeup draws once I get home from work, which will really up the guilt factor!

Hope your plumber turns up Wendz! I think they're late by nature, I know the lot I work with are terrible for it. :o

Ooooh how exciting Cinny! I'm doing a little giddy jig for you! :D Good luck to the make up totalling up tonight... you're a brave lady!

I'm still off work on the sick, I'm feeling better generally but still totally exhausted by any kind of activity so it's best if I get properly better before going back, especially as I'll be bombarded by work when I return and I'm not quite ready for that! Bless my Mum, she came round yesterday with some kind of tonic to help me get better that smells like old boots soaked in aniseed, it's supposed to make you feel better but I'm too scared to take it! She also randomly turned up with a load of Girls Aloud fake eyelashes that she'd found going really cheap in Boots, I can always count on her for odd presents! I'm really going to have to perfect my fake eyelash applying skills, last time I tried I had to take them off before the party even started because they felt so horrid!

The hen weekend sounded lovely Dinah, I would be very happy if I had something like that... with a pink twist of course! What cocktails did you make?

Our boiler is on the blink too (must be catching!), it keeps flashing odd messages and we've got no hot water now. OH's friend's dad (a plumber) has just turned up to sort it out, we just rang up to ask what buttons to press but for some reason I don't think he trusts us to not make it worse so he's come to do it! Hopefully we can shower soon! I remember when I was a bit younger and I thought 'old' people were so boring for talking about their boilers, and here we are doing it! Oh dear! :rotfl:
