Sorry to hear you are still not quite right! You are right not to go back yet though, don't want to make yourself too ill again.

I know how boring of us with our boilers haha, just a sign of growing up. Gas man is here now but he had better hurry up otherwise i will miss next train and wont be at work till lunch. Think will have to take it as a half day, feel bad!

I remember when I was a bit younger and I thought 'old' people were so boring for talking about their boilers, and here we are doing it! Oh dear! :rotfl:

I know! When brother in law came over yesterday to fix the washer, there was me, him, OH and mother-in-law all sitting watching the washing machine go around, talking about the best cycles and how it looks like a good spinner etc - I never thought this would happen to me! And today I have to buy an ironing board. Not that I'll use it.

Scary Cinny, think I'm going to have a bit of a purge when I move properly, so much stuff I have that I never use, probably out of date now anyway.

I need to have a little clear out too before my list. I know some mascaras ect are well past it, or there are some things even the biggest of challenges won't force me to use!

Glad you're feeling a bit better Birdie! And your Mum sounds lovely, even with her odd sound tonics  I've been eyeing (hoho!) those Girls Aloud eyelashes for ages, they look so pretty. More than a little bit jealous :D

Sounds like everyones boilers are having a bad moment! Mine at home is so old I feel like I can't complain because it's doing its best :o

Dinah hat sounds like an excellent hen weekend, I would absolutely love to do cocktail classes. Cinny that's very exciting about your OH too!

Crikey you lot and your boilers, don't let it become infectious! *Crosses fingers all electrical appliances remain intact* Hope you feel a bit better soon too Birdie. That's really annoying, I bet you're really bored. I am skiving a bit today too, I am still here in my jammies making a to do list. We went down to Cornwall for the weekend for OH friend's 30th. They had a family party and then a disco on the beach where we camped. It was great but I am knackered though. Going to do some baking for book club tonight, not sure what yet.

oooh that is so exciting cinny!! eeek! I dont think the bf and I are thinking about that sort of thin any time soon, our theory is that we're both young really and I would rather have a shortish engagement rather than wait for ages and ages! It would be so nice though!
He's away at the moment and I do miss him a lot :( grr!! Dinah I'm glad you had a lovely hen night :) How was NIMs stag?

Glad the hen weekend was good Dinah - did you learn any good cocktails? And how exciting Cinny!!!

Learnt cosmopolitan, mojito and a champagne one with bitters and brown sugar in. It was a lot of fun, I thought it might be a bit odd just watching this guy make drinks, but we all got to make one after and had a really good laugh doing it.

NIMs stag was good, he was home early though, think his brothers disorganisation meant a lot of people couldn't come.

Realised today my wedding earrings are gold and my headpiece thing is silver - not good! So now I've had to order some new earrings, but I still wasted about £70 on the fancy ones I was going to wear.

Got my first gold in the medal challenge today! Our Tesco vouchers total is now £567.50 for the year, meaning we are £217.50 towards New York - only another £132.50 to go.

Matched betting is going really well at the moment. I'm not withdrawing anything at the moment, but think I'm about £500 in profit now, I'm just building the pot up and up until we go on honeymoon, then I'll withdraw it all to use as our spending money when we're away. Means I won't have anything to start up again with when we get back though.

Work are being wierd. I want to go back on Monday half time (against their own professional's recommendation which they've decided to ignore), but they won't give me a straight answer. They've even said I won't be allowed to go on honeymoon if I'm on the sick (although I want to use my own holiday time) so this is starting to stress me a bit.

Sewing the veil again. Aim for today is to get another 13pins (about 32cm) sewn. Thats about 2 hours worth, after that point I find I get less focussed and make mistakes. At this rate I might be glueing the last few metres on!

Sell the earrings? What are you doing with the veil, sewing lace around the edge? Fun!!

With the matched betting can you just leave a £50 float in there or something? I might have a go of that one of these days, but it always looks so scary!

Strange about work... maybe just turn up on Monday morning then they can't argue that you're not willing! :D

Yep, lace around the edge with lacey bits in the middle. It was a daft plan!

£50 float is too small, about £200 is really the minimum, for a lot of the bookies you need at least £500 to realistically play with. I'm doing one at the moment where I could have gotten away with about £400 if it had gone my way the first time, but it didn't, and as a result I've had to throw £600 more of my float at it to get the money to release. But I got my £200 bonus in the end!

My sewing seems to be going quite well today. I'm going to have a cupcake at 13 pins, as an incentive to do another 13!

Any sneak peaks of the veil? Can't wait to see it :D

Goodness, I'd never let OH loose with that type of money for MB! Eep. He's been getting some good tips at work recently though, so we're about £100 up from them :T I say 'good tips' I mean, some guy comes in and puts a couple k on a horse and OH think 'E'lad, thas'll have a bit of that'

Very weird about your work, oddballs!

Almost home time for me, doesn't feel like I've been here long enough but hey. I won't argue! Much better as I've been kind of busy all day and it's flown. Dreading this list though!

Now up to 27 pins around the veil. Aiming to do another 12 at least. Little chunks seem a lot easier to manage. When I get to the end of my designated section, it seems easy to say 'just another 5 pins' which gets me a bit further on. I'll give you a sneek peak when I've got it further on, if I say I'll give you a sneak peak by the end of the week, then that gives me a goal to aim for - so keep nagging me to see it and I'll keep working on it!

    Don't worry, I'll pester. I'm good at that :D

Got all my makeup stuff added up. Not too bad, considering I have a fair bit of MAC, Benefit and Paul & Joe Palette things. It comes to £282.81, which means the grand scary total of my girlie junk is.. £652.96  And that's with clearing out a bunch of stuff :o
