Oh Cinny, those white teeth things, where are they from?
    Hi everyone
I was going to ask this too so I'll log into ebay in a min and find them. Cheers Cinny.

I'm very proud of myself today because I have finally got an Amazon voucher from Toluna (been a member for ever and never seemed to get there :j) and we needed the boiler boxed in and kept putting it off due to cost. I finally posted on www.myhammer.com and put that the maximunm we wanted to pay was £300 (not having a clue how much it would be. We actually got it done today, boxing in the boiler and washing machine and it looks fabulous (I know, I'm a bit OTT about it but it's another step towards selling the house) and it only cost £230. If anyone needs any work doing in their house have a look at the site because you have to rate the workmen too so we knew that 23 customers (100%) had been happy with the company we used. It's an excellent site.

Right, I'm on the night shift so off to see if I can mooch about on sites to get more Amazon vouchers!!!
Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:

    Happy Monday!

Not long until your big day now Dinah, eep! It's a good date though, my Parents got married on Sept 3rd and seem to be doing okay. Really can't wait to see the photos, you best be posting them! :D

Tete - Hows the house?! :D Saw a couple pictures on your Flickr, the door is pretty!!

Just got the letter with my cut hours on, starting in a couple weeks. Means another 3 paydays at my 'normal' wage. Actually managed £50 to one side this week, so if I keep it up like this £200 will be plenty. Not really worried about my hours getting cut because of the money, more worried the woman I work with will leave because of it :( We get on so well, and I dunno.. be just weird without her here! Operation 'live on future wages' is going well, only spent £20 this weekend (Or £19.13 going by my schmancy spending diary :cool2:) Spent yesterday doing my laundry, so I'm now sat in nicely fragranced and lovingly ironed clothes. Keep on getting wiffs of freshness! Even ironed OHs jammies I was getting that into the swing of it!

Ohh, and Wendz might like this (I think she's a gleek anyways!) We have work men working on the road outside my Office and one is the spitting image of Puck (when he shaved the mohawk off) The view from my desk is going to get very interesting :D (bar the old/ugly ones!)

Morning girls, hope everyone is well and had good weekends! It's taken me since I got to work at 8 to catch up on this and all my facebooking - not having internet at home is rubbish. Not for long though.

Dinah sounds positive about the knee! How was NIM's stag in the end? Is it your hen this weekend? (I actually know the plans hehehe!)

Lara, your life is so exciting! I hadn't realised you'd be away so long though! Will your PH be going out to visit you in between your trips home though? It'll absoluely fly by!

Powerplates sound amazing! Sadly I don't think they have them at our little uni gym. I keep menaing to go back actually as the money's coming off my wage every month and I'm not making use of it. Must do better.

Spent our first weekend in our house but still not feeling properly moved in - we need wardrobes and shelves, once I have all my clothes and books there I'll feel better! Sky is getting put in on Weds and hopefully we'll have a washing machine by the end of the week too. The cats are now in situ and seem happy enough. They didn't run in and wee in every corner to assert themselves as I'd feared at any rate. Ooh and I made a brill chocolate cake yesterday so I'm hoping my Victoria Sponge woes will be over and I can blame it all on Dad's oven.

Right off to check my banks through my fingers. Money has been literally running away from me this last week

Hey Cinny, can't believe you are so upbeat on a Monday morning. I am holding it together but my OH is a grizzly beast... it's important not to speak to him before coffee. Sounds like you are going really well with the saving for the reduced hours bit. It's a bit of a tricky time on the job front at the moment, so I'm sure the other lady will do all she can to stay, especially if you get on really well.

Pilchard thanks for that myhammer site, it looks like a great resource. We have got loads of silly jobs that just need someone handy rather than a full on joiner or carpenter. I am not very good at DIY although can do the more crafty things ok.

This week I am trying to finish my essay due for Thursday. I have been making progress but still got a bit to go. I have not been finding writing very easy and am not sure I am up to the required standard of work. Think I will need more help and practice, will wait for feedback to see how much!

ETA: Ah cross posted with you Tete, how exciting to be moved in, so glad you are enjoying it. Sounds like good progress is being made. :T

Hopefully my OH will come to see me in Uganda. I planned it so that it will be done in 3 x 2 month chunks, with a month back here from Crimbo and Easter in between.

Oooh I'm a Gleek and I lurve Puck! I wonder if he'll start to sing?!

How was NIM's stag do Dinah? Has he survived???

I hope your office lady doesn't leave Cinny, I hate losing work people I like; it's so odd having to bond with someone new! We've got a new guy in our office who just started last week but oddly he was on the float with me last weekend dressed as a parrot... I've not been able to look at him without giggling yet!

I'm not very happy that it's Monday already, where'd my weekend go?! We went to a BBQ at OH's friend's on Saturday and I had far too much wine, their glasses were deceptively large so I thought I'd only had a couple of glasses but it turned out to be a full bottle... and a bit more :o Yesterday was spent nursing my poorly head! And trying to forget the fact that we'd run into one of the 'posh' boys from Rugby (who's a Jolly Nice Chap Ya Ya!) and I'd invited myself and my girly friends to come and stay with him when he moves up to Newcastle in September for uni, poor lad! God knows what else I did! This weekend shall be a dry one! :o

ETA: That took me so long to write that Tete and Lara posted!

Tete, you'll be feeling settled soon enough, it'll be lovelt once everything is in and sorted, nice that your cats are happy too!

Lara, I meant to mention Uganda, how scary but how exciting! I couldn't be away for so long, I'm too much of a homebody! I'm sure you'll have an amazing time, and your CV will look brilliant at the end of it!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I might start playing The Lady is a Tramp and see what he does :D I won't be bonding with someone else if she leaves though, I won't get another friend :( I'll be the only girl in the company, I don't want to work with stinky boys!

Your weekend sounds fun though Birdie, if not a little bit sore! And yours too Tete, must be exciting :D

Lara - What is it you're going to Uganda to do? I feel silly asking, but I honestly don't remember too well :o:o

Not a clue why I'm so upbeat either, had a pretty lovely weekend with OH so that might be it. Family dragged me down a little bit on Sunday though, seems like I'm on the wrong side of them all atm. Nice to be out of the way for a bit!

Haha Cinny, I'm not surprised you forgot, I'm going to research mobile phone repair in the capital Kampala!

This means finding and making friends with the people in these businesses, interviewing them and hanging out in the repair shops to see what they do in their work. I'm going to write about it for uni, believe it or not, it's a hot topic :rotfl:

So if nobody likes me and talks to me it will be a bit of a problem for my schoolwork :( But I think most people don't mind talking about their job and what they do.

I am also keen to know if NIm is still alive :rotfl:

Cinny - mmm Puck, bet that is an enjoyable view..no wonder you are so perky hehe. Hope the other lady doesn't leave.

Lara - i would have thought people are pretty happy to talk about what they do so sure you will find some people.

Tete - Glad you are slowly settling in, does take a while. My money is running away from me too..

I had a bit of a boozy weekend too after saying i wouldn't drink as my friend persuaded me to. Then had way too much wine, cocktails and vodka...not a good mix. Hardly got any sleep and I am a bit lost as to what happened half the night...oops! Need to recover before our work parties wed and Thurs.

I will be, not until we come back off honeymoon though. Or if you like Agape (accent on the e) Photography on facebook, they're our photographers and the photos will go up on there from them.

Dinah sounds positive about the knee! How was NIM's stag in the end? Is it your hen this weekend? (I actually know the plans hehehe!)

It was drunken I think, apparently he gets incredably defensive when drunk, and freaked out when women came within 30 yards and started yelling that they needed to go away, he was getting married! I have photos of our brothers on the roof of our garage too....

Aye its my hen this weekend, looking forward to it.

Bridesmaids dresses arrived today! First bridesmaid came over to try hers on, despite ordering her a dress a size bigger than the shop recommended, its too small. Not horrifically, but she's taken it to be altered. Also the lining appears to have been snagged into the wrong parts of the outer dress, so it bunches and doesn't hang right. I'm really hoping the other two fit better!

I'm not supposed to know (NIM is trying to stop me worrying but mum accidentally let on) but the suit hire company (and this is a national company, not a one man band) doesn't have enough trousers for all the groomsmen! Currently the best man and my brother are going to be stood there in boxers.

I've been baking today. Baking calms me. Made chocolate brownie cupcakes with mint fondant middle, and maple cupcakes before I ran out of eggs. I'm doing a cupcake tower at the wedding, so having fun trialling the flavours. I swear the brownie cupcake batter is far too good to bake, it's insanely good raw. Mum made the fruitcake last night too.

Have ordered the sweets for the sweetie bar (all 2 stones of them!!!), and the tags for the memory tree.

NIM is back on the Harcombe diet today, last time he did it he lost 16lbs in a week, so he's hopeful that in 3 and a half weeks he can loose a similar ammount and look a bit trimmer on the wedding photos. Starting weight is 186.6lbs, which at bang on 6ft is exactly on the borderline between normal and overweight. I've been keeping up my fairly intensive physio/diet, and while I'm not really loosing lbs, I'm down to a 26" waist, from 31" a couple of months ago. Managed 70mins on the cross trainer today which I'm chuffed to bits with, especially as I stopped as my arches were hurting not that I was shattered, and I'm climing stairs in a normal way (albeit wobbly) - things are coming along.

Hi all! Haven't been around for a few days so I've got some catching up to do again. Been for pizza and cinema with some friends today and best of all, we didn't even have to pay for the pizza as could use my Leisure Vouchers (from Consumer Pulse).
