Well I wouldn't wear that dress on a normal night out but I love the idea of wearing something stupidly OTT for *my* party! I've seen bigger and brighter ones....
    ETA: Like this one!

I went to have a look at the dress I had my eye on in town yesterday in the hope that it had been further reduced and it has been sold! :( There are loads on ebay though for about £60 (from China... do I dare???) I may convince Mum that she *has* to buy me one!

I saw a thing on GMTV this morning saying that having a sister makes you kinder and I thought of you Cinny! Hope your sister's OK, any idea why he broke up with her?

Ditto the good luck for the CA application Zig, that'd be so cool! Good saving plan too, I hope it works!

I'd *love* to have a dress like that, and it wouldn't even suit me but I'd wear it around the house to make dull things pretty. Like in Friends when they're wearing wedding dresses. So sad, but I totally would.

Thanks everyone, I think she's doing okay. I spoke to her on the phone a bit ago and she isn't crying anymore, which I think is a good sign! They were together 3 years though (bar a little break they had in March) so he's going to leave a pretty big gap. He still isn't giving proper reasons though, just saying he already misses her, still loves her, doesn't want her to see anyone else but doesn't want to be with her. Eh?!

Was wondering where Dinah is too.. hello??

Been helping out my Grandpops this morning, feel like I've come to work to relax now! Always nice helping him out, and although I never expect it he always slips me a little petrol money so that's Greg fed. Means a little extra in the MOF come payday - I like the sound of your list Zig! Whenever I put any money into mine and OHs pot I always text him and tell him it's a toaster or something. I'm going to get some charts drawn today, for all my savings pots so I can colour blocks in for ever £5 I put in - I think Dinah did something like this a while ago? Not sure, stole the idea from someone though!

I'm here. Had my first dress fitting this morning - it fits! Now sat waiting in my new house for the phone engineer to come install our phone line.

Great news that the dress fits! Have you had any luck finding shoes?

That's fab about the dress Dinah! :D You must be starting to feel giddy/completely sick now!

I got mine from ebay, but can't remember the seller! I used my Mumsies account so can't log on to see. The chap was a top seller though, so if you put 'crest advance strips' in, they should come up at the top. (I think that's how it works?!)

I have two pairs of wedding shoes now :S Stunning £45 for the two, one from Next, one seriously reduced in house of fraser. I wanted two pairs in case one start to rub.

Giddy would be the wrong word - nervy as hell is a bit more appropriate. I'm not really sleeping, last night it was 5am before I managed to fall asleep. Seeing my doctor on Friday about my knee, going to ask if he can give me anything to make me sleep a bit better.

Good deal on the shoes! You got pictures?

Brandy??? ;) How about looking at some self hypnosis techniques to calm yourself down. Don't be nervous, it'll be amazing!

I just hate the idea of being stared at. Feel a bit better now I've been to the dress maker and she's making straps, so I feel less naked.

Very suprised but the next ones aren't on their site - might have to photo them when I get home. My backup pair have sold out on the HoF website, but they're shown here. Very simple really, but shouldnt rub if thats what it comes down to!

    They're pretty!

You really need to get your nerves sorted, there's no point spending all that money on a day then go through it in such a state of fear you don't actually enjoy it!
