I never expected to enjoy it to be honest, I hate being the centre of attention. You're right though, it is a shame to spend so much money and not enjoy it. But NIM will enjoy it, and I'll enjoy being his wife, so I guess thats enough.

When I'm stressed or happy I cry. When I'm stressed and happy people assume I've just seen a horrifying car crash I'm such a wreak. What if I spend the whole day crying?!

Errrr.... keep your veil down?! Flap your hands in front of your face like a schoolgirl and keep saying 'I'm soooooo happy'! I don't really know, I don't really cry too much when I'm happy, the most I get is a bit of welling up and maybe a little tear at the corner of my eye. I can appear a little cold hearted sometimes!

When I got my GCSE and A level results and when NIM proposed, I couldnt tell anyone as as soon as I tried to I burst out crying! Has to be a stress thing, but whatever it is its annoying!

I cry when I'm angry or under pressure so I can't argue for toffee because I just sob all the way through! I also can't have 'serious' work talks about my job prospects because I just get teary which is embarrassing and unprofessional! I really want to talk to my manager about how messed around I feel blah blah blah but every time I think about it I get all teary and I have to make excuses to change the subject and leave!

I'm a blubber too, had a hanky stuffed down my cleavage at my sister's wedding. It was so romantic... ahhh young love. Dinah perhaps you should have a big massage on the day, or some aromatherapy or something? Does Bach rescue remedy work for you?

I bought a gorgeous crimson red crushed silk ballgown from Monsoon with my first ever pay cheque. I've never had the chance to wear it! That was well over a decade ago. I was thinking of wearing for the wedding, but my bridesmaids are red-heads, and it seems wrong not to get a special dress.

Hehe... don't get the wrong impression, I'm not an attention grabbing loony but I don't mind people paying me attention if that makes sense? I've gotten a lot more confident since being with OH and now I don't really care if people look at me, as long as they're not pointing and laughing! :eek:

I think that does sound like a special dress! I also love the frivolity of buying a ballgown with your first paycheck! In my opinion there are not enough balls nowadays, I love getting all dressed up in a posh frock, only done it once though! Maybe you could change into it in the evening if you want to get a 'proper' wedding dress?

You're SO right Hardly any balls at all! My friends were trying to get me to have a Disney princess themed hen weekend atEurodisney -obviously I'd get to be Belle - which is tempting!

I don't really like to be the centre of attention either, sorry to hear that it stresses you out so much Dinah - I understand that your philosophy is that it's about the marriage and not the wedding, but I really hope you enjoy the day too:)

I can't take all credit, I wouldn't be so nice if I didn't think my Sister would be the same to me! We still fall out, but we're fiercely loyal to each other. I think what Birdie said about having a Sister is true, Wendz can back me up on it! (ooh, and Zig, and anyone else with a sister on here!)

Dinah - I understand the sickness at the thought of all those eyes on you (main reason why I want a small family and close friends wedding - that and OTT isn't me!) but when you're in the moment, all done up in your dress with the hair and the makeup and that 'so loved up I'm making myself feel sick' feeling you'll forget about all the other people and just see NIM. (Which might make you feel worse, just seeing that mug all day.. I kid, I kid!) I feel so hallmark saying something like that, but from what I gather it's true. So don't freak out!

That Hen party theme sounds fun Poddle! I'd want to be Snow White personally, she's my favouritest!

Just found out I'm getting my work hours cut for a bit, will help me out in the long run but will be a little poopy for the moment. Leaving the company isn't an option, and taking on another job wouldn't be fair to those people as they'd never come first. So I've just got to tough it out for a bit, need to rethink the budget.. or maybe just ban ANYTHING fun for a while. Just bills, petrol and food coming out my account for a while. How dull!:(
