Good luck to NIM shifting some podge! :D And I'm sure you know muscle weighs more than fat = the weight loss slow down. I wish I could get into diets, but I lub my little cake shelf and can run pretty far, so I'm leaving well enough alone.

Ordered me and OH some 'day out' vouchers with my tesco points yesterday, ready for when we go to York. Promised him we'd go to the Dungeons because I chickened out last time :o (Got half way up the stairs and was like 'nono, I'm not doing it!') I don't like people thinking they can grab me just because they're dressed up as dead things, blergh!

I'd highly recommend the Castle Museum in York, we spent hours in there last time we went!

Oh, I love that place! We went there in May, first museum OH has actually liked. Did plan to go back because the tickets are valid for a year or something afterwards?? But OH is very clever and lost the stubs. Didn't really do much when we went before, so I'm going to get as much info as I can before we go this time - Any suggestions of places?

Oooh I love the Castle Museum too! I think I'm actually due a visit, not been for a few years. The York Dungeon is good too Cinny, be brave! The Edinburgh one is much scarier, probably because I couldn't understand what the people were saying!

Good luck to NIM wanting to lose weight... although is he going to succeed if you're baking treats?! Well done on your loss too Dinah, you'll look well skinny on the wedding day!

That's pure cheek :D Actually I've been too and could hardly understand them and I'm Scottish! I ended up in jail and OH was on the torture chair, embarrassed is not the word!

I got put up in the dock and I had no idea what the judge was saying to me! I think they thought I was a bit slow....

Cinny, the Jorvik Museum is always a good one to see if you've not been before. There are a couple of places I've always wanted to go to but haven't actually gone yet- The Mansion House, Fairfax House and the Treasurers House. If go to any let me know how they are! You should pop over my way and go to Fountains Abbey too, bring a picnic, get on a tour and have a Brymor ice cream! Lovely!

Lol I went to the Edinburgh one. I warned NIM in advance I hate audience participation, and if any stranger tries to touch me as part of the act I will not be held responsible for my actions. As a result when some crazy bounging scotsman pretending to be from a clan who ate people crept up behind me and put his hand on his shoulder I turned around and hit him! NIM has suggested we don't go to anymore places with audience participation.

Not treats, practice for the wedding. And he's doing fine, he's on a specific diet - no carbs except brown rice this week, and so he just doesn't eat them. For him its a lot easier than counting calories as he can eat unlimited ammounts of the right foods, and none of the bad so he knows the rules and sticks to it. I'm still calorie counting though, so I can have one cake as at the moment its often mid afternoon before I remember to eat!

I think that's it for me, I'm alright with a little bit of messing about but it's when they go OTT making you jump I get edgy. And I know that makes me a spoilt sport! I told OH I'll happily go as long as he covers my back so they can't attack me :o I'm just such a wuss, OH loves all the ghost stuff so I need to toughen up.

I've been to Jorvik before but OH hasn't, so it might be on the list! Have I completely made this up or does Prince Charles greet you to the ride?? I think I've made that up!

    Yup you made it up!

NIM is on coffee withdrawl on the diet, I might just have to kill him. If anyone needs convincing its a stimulant watch someone in withdrawl suffer and the damned stuff would be banned.

Well I've just found the huge posiive of NIMs cousin booking her wedding for 5 days after ours - our costs are a lot less than expected, and instead of a £4900 shortfall we're looking at a £2400 one - much better!
