The furniture gets delivered today so will see it tonight, sounds OK from the description. OH REALLY doesn't like the flower plates I don't want to stamp my foot and buy them anyway because I'll feel guilty every time I eat. So going to just get some of the side plates to have as *Lucy's Special Cake Plates* and get some less girly ones for everyday eating.

That sounds like a good compromise about the plates - you might worry about their safety in big man hands anyway!

I'm off to check out Birdie's pictures as I haven't yet!

Lol, fab pictures Birdie - I love that you go all out for fancy dress. The world needs more people like you! There are too many girls for whom fancy dress/Halloween parties mean dressing up like a 'sexy witch' or Playboy bunny! Dull! (Ooh, didn't know I felt so strongly about that!)

I did my second trapeze class yesterday - we've progressed to standing up! It's quite scary, but I survived with a few bruises and sore hands. A man did get stuck upside down doing the 'spider' with the rope tightening round his foot as he dangled there which was a bit alarming! (I wimped out of doing that move after that).

Yes, the fish plate is pretty big! At least 2 feet long I'd say I think OH has a soft spot for him though

I did think that Lara but he really really hates them. If he's bought something dud though at least I won't feel like I can't speak up!

Hehe, OH always begs me to not take fancy dress too far, I think he'd prefer it if I just went down the boring route and dressed as a Playboy Bunny! I don't see the point in doing it half hearted though! I did feel a bit stupid on Christmas Eve last year though, we threw a little party and stipulated that it was 'Festive Dress', I was the only one dressed up! After a few wines I didn't really care though. I knew everyone was jealous of my Mrs Claus dress and candy cane stockings! We're having a birthday party for OH, fancy dress again (after the huge success of the cowboy party last year!) and I'm thinking of having the theme 'When I grow up I want to be...' which is fairly open to interpretation so people can come as whatever they like! Not sure what I'll dress up as though!

I didn't realise that the fish plate was that big Tete! That's massive! Glad your OH likes him though!

:rotfl:Why on earth didn't you follow that dream?! I never really had a 'calling'. I had a different career dream every week. I'd go as a Barbie princess but I might have to save that for my hen party!

I was going to say, I'd have to go dressed as a Taxi Driver! I always love the sound of your parties Birdie! I remember those burger cupcakes you made for the cowboy party, they were pretty fab!
