you've probably not been spending so you likely are fine!

This is true. I cant remember the last time i spent any money and OH has been at work most of the time, think the most extravagent thing he has splashed out on is some Ben & Jerrys ice cream he bought me - bless him.
Have to say i have never fully understood the whole 'depression thing' until now - it truely is awful.

Dinah - will you be able to get to see the progress in your house soon?

NIM has been bringing me photos of the changes - I've seen my bathroom rooflight and the new door hole and stud wall - next weekend should be very exciting as the bathroom actually gets fitted! Electrician is there tomorrow putting lights in it, and moving some other lights about (conservatory lights despite looking like normal lights actually plug into a socket 2 rooms away, the lounge light switch is behind the door under the stairs etc) Also we've got an issue in that the burgular alarm is on the same circuit as the lights so at the moment we've taken the fuse out, as as soon as we put it in the alarm goes off - we need it disconnecting or resetting or something!

The wiring at the house sounds very interesting! Good that you're getting it all sorted, makes you wonder why people put up with such odd set-ups for so long!

Good old mods, spam got removed straight away!

I can't even pretend to understand how bad depression is Flower but I hope you get better very quickly! Have you been working through it or taken time off?

Cant even begin to imagine why someone thought that would be a good set up in the first place :rotfl:

I have been working, although i am only contracted to 15 hours per week but usually work 25, i have asked to only do my contracted hours until im feeling a bit better. And work have been great about it, my manager has been through depression herself so is very understanding which is good.
Doctor has advised me to take some time off, although its not a route i particularly want to go down at the minute.

It's nice to see some chat going on today! Although sorry to hear you've been having a bad time, Flower. Hope it's getting easier and it sounds like your OH is looking after you properly :)

Naughty NIM about the speeding ticket! Exciting that the house is coming along though - must be so frustrating not to be there all the time. Today is the first day that we've got builders in ripping out our bathroom, so I'm not sure I'm looking forward to going home to the chaos! Even worse, OH thinks that as we'll be without bath/shower for a while I should go to the gym *before* work and get ready there - yuk! We'll see how that goes...

Tete, hope all works out with the house *fingers crossed* gotta love a man who'll let you have cats - hope nobody else gets to stick their oar in!

Hm, Achica - pls send me the link Dinah? I've got some house bits I genuinely need to buy, so it is MSE really :)

ETA: Stupid work! Hope the pics get them off your case!

That prog would have been interesting, I often feel like a bit of a Stepford Wife with my baking and sewing, but sadly the cleaning bit lets me down :D

I'm the other way around, cleaning is one big tick but my sewing and baking skillz are lacking! Keeping my fingers crossed for you with the house Tete, sounds perfect!!

I third/forth?? the 'adding to savings rather than paying off debt', I have so much to save for atm I have a feeling my moving out money will be coming from savings too. But I thought rather that than getting into debt, banned myself from buying anything but fuel and food though. See where that gets me!

Flower - Sending you massive hugs! Hope you're feeling better soon :) I had to go too the Drs a couple weeks back too, I was a near wreck! Got put on these funny tablets so when I listen to my heart beat its only about a beat a second. Your work sound like they're being lovely with it, depression is sucky enough without the added 'blergh' factor of people not thinking it's a real problem.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend, what's everyone been up to?

Had my first Fake Bake party though, made £30 from sales after tax ect so I'm pretty happy with that for 3 hours of my time! But it's near gone bar about £2 now :o Spending ban is going okay, I ended up having to buy new Laundry stuff which came to quite a bit (despite getting my new basket for £4 instead of £11 as it was on clearance :T) and kind of ruined my plans as I'd already bought my 'treat' for the week. But I suppose spending £15 on myself is a lot better than the £60 I spent solo on me last week. I'll stop rambling now!

EH?! You are the best baker ever, shaddap! I aspire to bake like you!

Nice to have a little bit of chat on here again, now I have a bit of a chance to join in and am less stressed!

Didn't get up to an awful lot this weekend, we were filling in out bits for our house application and we drove round and round it a couple of times! Just getting my references from work today and we can get the app in - exciting! Trying not to get too excited just in case though!

What's a fake bake party? Hope you haven't gone orange again youg lady!

How is everyone? Any exciting news or gossip?
