The house is sounding very promising Tete, I hope everything goes smoothly! Good idea about using the ISA money, it seems silly to go into your overdraft when you've got money in savings waiting to be used. If you can't use it to finally live with your OH, what can you use it for?
Hmm, maybe a dress, maybe a white one ... one thing at a time though eh?Gargh damned cat just walked across thte keyboard and refreshed my window!
Mine does that, and climbs on my sewing.
The cottage was more money Tete, so it would have been a bit flasher
Yes, and I much prefer the village this one is in so it's better in a way. No donkey out the back though.
Got some interesting post yesterday. First I got a letter from Alliance & Leicester about those survey fees they refused to refund and I complained about. As a 'gesture of goodwill' they're giving us the full ammount back! So that's £320 in the pot.
:T Brill! Nice gesture, were they afraid you were gonna sue their asses?
Then I opened a letter off Cleveland police telling me my car had been caught doing 36 in a 30 zone 6 days after my operation.... so I called NIM, told him he was an idiot, he was very apologetic and shocked, and he's going to try to go on a speed awareness course rather than take the points and fine - I think it'd be good for him to see why there are speed limits!
Or learn to watch out for the garda?
I also got a letter from my HR department to see me about arranging for me to return to work possibly in a different role due to my 'excessive recovery period' - !!!!!! off I had surgery 3 weeks ago! I'm on physio and am doing my exercises and the bike 3 times a day and icing my knee hourly - would they like to accomodate that in the office?! So dad has taken the pictures taken of the inside of my knee during surgery with him today as he has a meeting with the head of HR, then when he asks how I am he can whip them out and hopefully shut them up!
Ooh nice pics?! I thought you had a doctor's note?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Thank you for the well wishes. Dont really want to go into all details but long and short of it is after recent personal events i have been put on anti-depressants and sleeping tablets. To be honest i have no idea where our finances are at at the minute, really need to get back on top of it all, so we dont end up getting ourselves into debt again.
Thats great news about the survey money being refunded Dinah, not so great about work bothering you though!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I do have a doctors note! Who has certified 'fitnote' I'm not fit to drive, do a desk job or manual labour or any other work until at least August 7th. But clearly HR completely override a trained medical professional!
They're really interesting pictures actually, I was staggered how clear they are and how much they show, full colour and like you'd take any other picture, not like an xray or mri or anything. Its fascinating, you can see all the whisps on the knee surface and the HUGE condral lesion and where the knee had almost fused together at the top of the knee cap, and one pic shoews how it was so tight together he was struggling to get his instruments in, it's kinda cool if you're not squeemish.
Anyone else a member of Achica? (if not and you want refering, please PM me, both get £5) For anyone who doesn't know it's a private members club and they do huge 2 day flash sales on big brands, mostly homeware but also beauty, they've got some gorgeous stuff on there. Anyway my first order from them just arrived, and I think the lady left one of the boxes of stuff in her car as I ordered 12 Christie towels at 70% off, and only 8 arrived - but they're lovely and soft! Going to have to email them now, hopefully it won't be an issue as I got 4 of each size, and in complimentary colours - I don't want the hand towels not to match!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Don't worry about money Flower, look after yourself and get yourself better, the rest will follow
How good are the sales on that place Dinah, not sure I need any more temptation at the minute!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
50-80% off generally on Mon/Wed/Friday (only about 30-50% on Tue and Thur) - last week they had all the floppy plastic (words escape me right now) baking stuff on there - cupcake 'tins' for £3.50, sponge tins £4 etc. If you need things like pans/cutlery etc then their prices often undercut the sales/Amazon if you hit upon the right sale (and they email to tell you which ones are coming up that week). They had Raleigh bikes on last week, 60% off some of them, which I thought was pretty good.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I saw NIM's status on FB yesterday about the speeding ticket, naughty boy! My Mum got caught about 18 months ago and went to the speed awareness course, she wasn't happy!
What idiots your work are being! Stressing about what job you'll have when you get back is hardly going to made your 'excessive recovery period' any better is it?! Maybe you should ask them if they can accomodate an exercise mat, a bike and lots of ice!
Sorry about the bad news Flower, is the medication making things any better?
ETA: That Achica sounds good but I don't really need the temptation!
AETA: Knee pics sound really interesting, I love gross things like that (to an extent!)Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I've been starting to feel a bit more normal and human the last few days, and OH has commented that i seem to looking a bit 'happier'. Although have also lost a lot of weight as i have just had no appetite. I'll get there im sure, glad to have something in way of medication that is making me feel better.
That website sounds good, although i dont think i need the temptation. OH has been looking after the finances and assures me that everything is fine, but my idea of fine and his idea of fine are two different things!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
If you've been feeling down I don't imagine you've been out spending, so they probably are fine!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I'm sure everything moneywise is fine Flower, your health is more important that cash at the minute and Dinah's right, you've probably not been spending so you likely are fine!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
