LOL I forgot about that too Birdie. What are you going to bring with you?! Ahhh I will be joining you on the wine tonight Tete, just going to go out and buy a big bottle later on. Tomorrow is lunch with the girls - no football allowed!

Any more luck on the house hunting Tete?

Aye there is some wedding stuff we'll be selling on again, would hope to maybe make a couple of hundred back, but nothing huge. £6500 is not easily clearable no! But it is possible if we went a bit mental on the extra earnings. But being newly wed, I don't think we'll be doing that, might take things a bit more easily.

Nothing really got resolved with it TBH, she left it after I'd 'reminded' her that's we'd provided the food and nothing's been said since, we went to the cinema a couple of weeks ago and when she was picking out sweets to take in with her/us I kept saying, 'Well I've only got 50p on me so if I give you that and let you have some of my drink will that be OK?' Hehe, she refused my money but I think she got the hint! I think we'll be taking our own food and drink tomorrow and only have what we've taken to definitely prove our point!

What are you doing in Northants Tete?

 to the possible debt Dinah! Not wanting to sound mean or anything, but are extravagant birthday presents really necessary when you've already got so much to pay for and not enough money to pay for it? OH and I have cut well back on Christmas/Birthday/other presents because we have much more important things to spend our money on at the moment!

Thats not extravagant to me though - thats quite restrained! End of the day I know we can make £1500 in extra income a month if we wanted to - we'd just have no real quality of life, so I know we'll be back out of it certainly within a year, hopefully by my birthday in Feb. And that's a worst case scenario, may find its a canny bit less, especially now I've started matched betting. I'm annoyed on the one hand the house has cost so much more than expected, but at the same time I'm fairly confident we'll have added a lot more value to it that what we'll have spent.

Surely from watching Grand Designs you'll have figured out that it always costs more than you think!!!

Lol yeah I should have clocked that one! I think it was simple things like I didn't even consider coving and skirting boards, or that we'd need a new fire, or that all the rooms would need doing at once because the carpets were so mouldy and stinky. Never mind, its only money. While I don't want to be in debt, so long as I can afford to pay it back I'm not going to let it depress me atm, too many exciting things going on. Not least I have 3 MS meals this weekend, which I'm very excited about! Italian-American, Mexican and Spanish, £40 reimbursement each. Plus 6 other MSs coming to another £54 as well. And 4 of those are bookies so might win a bit too. Fab weekend!

Call me stupid but the penny has just dropped about using the Tesco clubcard. I blame my brain turning to mush after having Max.

How realistic is it aim for a Cuba virgin holiday for sept 2011 if I shop there every week with a Tesco credit card?

Is it likelt to cost much more than £700 per person?

One week or two? I'd LOVE to go to cuba next year, but 2 weeks is about £1045 per person (4 star, breakfast only). One week is only about £750 though, on the same board basis.

How much do you spend per week in Tesco, I'll do the maths for you if you like.

Thanks Dinah - probably spend at least £75 a week on food shopping!

    Would love 2 weeks

Done the sums to one years time, as you need to order the vouchers, and get them in the mailing, so realistically the last mailing that would count would be the May one, as August wouldn't give enough time to order the vouchers and book the holiday. So you'd be looking at around £195 of points from your normal shopping assuming the double points does indeed come to an end at the end of August 2010. If it doesn't you should be about bang on target. You could make up the shortfall by doing a few of the bonus points offers, I try to post good ones on this thread when I see them, £155 of points in bonus offers is suprisingly easy to do!
