Is it likelt to cost much more than £700 per person?
We went to Cuba for two weeks in July 2008 and it came to around £950 each. It wasn't with Virgin but it was AI AND included three nights in Havana which always bumps up the price a bit. Don't know anything about clubcard points though!!! You'll have a fab time!
Dinah, you've definitely made the right decision re ring -v- flooring, you don't want to be disappointed when NIM puts your ring on your finger in September do you?
Had a pretty lazy weekend but a busy day today, finished (almost) all my sewing folder, just a couple of bits to type up and print off tomorrow. We are now looking at a *villa* in Spain for our jollies, very very exciting! Off to Northampton Birdie for OH's RICS interview - apparently they're letting any old Tom !!!!!! and Harry in though because so many people are out of work in the industry and have suspended their membership fees, they need the money! Might explain your issues Dinah! I'm dying to know how the BBQ went with your uptight friend... But for now need sleep! Bonsoir!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Hello all! Hope nice weekends were had by all! BBQ was OK at uptight friend's house on Saturday although I seriously think she has mental problems. I turned up wearing a maxi dress just because it was pretty and I felt like wearing it so she had to get changed from her linen trousers into a maxi dress then sulked because it wasn't as nice as mine. Then I admitted to applying one layer of Dove Summer Glow the night before (which was barely noticeable) so she disappeared for ages and came back downstairs with a tan because she had to be darker than me! I'd gone round earlier to see her too and help set up and I was wearing some new earrings (like these but silver with blue, not normally my cup of tea but they went with my dress-which is lighter, brighter and much nicer IRL, and I didn't buy it before anyone says '£75 !!!!!') and she asked me where I got them so I told her I found them in Dorothy Perkins in the sale for £1, she asked me to get her some when I went back into town, which I didn't mind. What I did mind was that she then wore them all night even though they matched nothing she had on so we looked like lame copies of each other! I know imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... but give it a break! Anyhoo, I drank a lot of wine and when everyone went into town I snuck off home and was in bed by 11pm!
Dinah, I agree that you're doing the right thing with the ring vs flooring if it'll make you miserable. Although I think we're going to get cheapish rings and replace them as we get a little more money to spend on nicer rings. I know that they should be for life but my Mum changed her engagement and wedding ring after they'd been married 20 years because she had never liked her wedding band and the world didn't implode, another 17 years on they're still going strong and she still loves her 'new' rings. But if you're going to be grimacing at your 'toy' ring on your wedding day it's really not worth making do!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Oh God Birdie, she sounds like my gran's neighbour (and she DOES have certified mental probs) - even though she's like 25 years younger than my Grandma, she still copies everything! Not clothes really but things around the house - curtains and stuff, to the point where my Gran had a decorator in to do the kitchen black and white, so she had to book the same guy to have HER kitchen black and white! It's funny in a way but I know what you mean - you don't want people thinking it's you copying HER! I mean the thing with the trousers I can sort of understand, I might be like that 'Oh, is everyone weraing dresses, I best get changed then!' ... but the tan?! I mean what did she think peoople would think of her doing something like that?! Nowt so queer as folk eh?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Ooh yea mine has gone back to how it was before aswell, never noticed that!
Birdie - your friend sounds like an absolute delight! I definitely agree she sounds like she has a few issues, cant believe she went to fake tan just to look 'better' than you :rotfl:if i had been there drinking i would of had to have said something
I used to have a 'friend' that copied everything i did/wore, even down to asking which make up i used so she could get the same. I used to find it soooo annoying!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

I'd be phasing her out tbh, that does not sound like a relaxing evening. What life stage is she at? She sounds like she might be jelous of you (getting married, own a house etc) but being so insecure as to go put on fake tan halfway through an evening is bloody wierd.
I note she 'used to' be a friend Flower!
We went with platinum as the idea was once they're on the finger they never have to come off again, I really didnt like the idea of sending the white gold ring off to be replated once a year. Plus I'm allergic to everything so it was likely the plating would irritate my skin. That said on Saturday I said I wanted to buy a silver ring like the one I want in platinum and I'd get married with that rather than the toy ring. But yeah, I think we've made the right decision waiting for floors rather than the ring.
Busy day today. One of my bridesmaids (the tiny vegan one) is coming over and taking me to the house as the survey company are coming back to resurvey, and then the other builder is coming over to quote, before she takes me to the hospital for my pre op checks. NIM is then picking me up, and we're going to get our wills written. Then a MS meal this evening. Need to get cracking on my 20 ebay items for the day.
It might not be the most moneysaving, but I've decided to do all my ebay items in ebay rather than turbolister, as I find it a lot quicker, and schedule a start date later. I figure if it gets me listing twice as fast, those extra hours can be used for moneymaking or making the veil, and that has to be worth the couple of quid it will cost to list them that way.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

:rotfl::rotfl:Yes she moved away, and i made no effort to stay in touch when she did- such a bad person that i am!
From what i've heard though she hasnt changed an awful lot.
I agree though Birdie - it sounds like she is jealous of you and what you have etc..
Sounds like you have another busy day Dinah, how on earth are you going to have time to go back to work after your operation?!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0
