Lol I keep thinking that! That said I'll be on phased return ( a couple of days a week) to ease me back into it, and then I'm off on honeymoon. October is going to hit me like a ton of bricks though!

It's odd though, she has no reason to be jealous. She's a teacher who's already head of department and earning plenty, owns a proper house rather than a little flat, is getting married next year in a bog white wedding that her parents are paying for (although they've had to pay for the cathedral as it's 'tradition' for the groom to pay (???) so that's cost them £500. Boo fricking hoo! she has that much and more spare every month that she wastes on clothes) The only reason she'd be jealous of me that I can think of is that I'm a bit thinner than she is (my current 'fat' weight is her goal weight!) but surely she can't be that insecure?! Maybe she is... I can't really phase her out as her fiance is one of OH's best friends, the reason I got friendly with her in the first place was because we were getting pushed together so much by the boys!

Blimey Birdie, she really does sound a bit nuts! It's always awkward when you become friends with someone by default as it's difficult to ditch them. Plus there's no way of knowing why she's insecure or what she's jealous of and it sounds like she wouldn't take it well if you tried to address the issue with her!

We went to a BBQ with some Uni friends of OH on Saturday and I really struggled to talk to them. They're nice enough, but I really have nothing in common with them and I'm not good with small talk. I think sometimes it's difficult with boys because their friendships are fairly superficial, in that they get together and watch football or play golf, but they're not big conversationalists (i don't even think that's a real word :o)

I did get to cuddle a baby though! And whilst I'm really not broody at all, it was very cute and squirmy :)

Wow Birdie - she certainly sounds jealous of you. Even though she has a house & is getting married she might be jealous of your personality or style. She might even be jealous of your wedding abroad!

Who knows? There are some very peculiar people out there. I had a friend I couldn't ditch because of mutual friends. She turned everything into a competition and it drove me nuts. Luckily we live in different places now and she doesn't drive me mad anymore :)

I know that feeling well! I'm not very good at just chatting to strangers, especially men, yet I'm pushed into those situations a lot with being part of the rugby club. The men all have rugby in common so they talk about that but I don't actually watch the matches when I go down to watch, I just watch OH in case he gets squashed so I can't join in! And the women generally have nothing in common apart from the fact that they're attached to rugby players so it's a tough one! I just try to stick to OH and smile a lot! It is so much easier for men though as they do just bond over sport generally. One day my Dad and OH chatted for a good hour about cricket even though they both hate it! I imagine it'll be better when I've got a baby because then you can just talk about that and let people coo over them!

wow youre so inspiring with the CC deals dinah! I really need to get cracking because I dont really buy that much from Tesco but I want to buy the boy a landrover driving day for his birthday in october. I wont get it in time for his birthday (only one mailing left before then?) but maybe for christmas, and I think my mum will give me her vouchers too :) I also bought loads of booze the other day and got the 1000 extra points which should help, think I need £48 of points thouogh and I only have £5.50 at the mo! (I gave all of my other vouchers to my sister!)
had a few probs with Halifax, they are so annoying but they are giving me £25 compensation which is fair I think. Apart from that, not much to say really though!
