Good news about getting in touch with the groomsman!

I know it's not what you're after centerpiece wise, but on my picture travels I found this centerpiece idea and thought it was very you and NIM! I know how family orientated you are, so you could use old family photos mixed with the pictures you and NIM have collected since you've been together. I know how on the picture in the link they have them on the table with flowers, but I think if you were to do a bigger one next to a smaller one like they have it would look lovely on their own. Plus if you did the frames in white, they'd tie in with the Luminaries you posted yesterday! (and you could always scatter rose petals around them for an extra something) But I'm getting carried away here, basically I thought they were very sweet!

Cinny i never realised you had such a creative mind!! I love those and could just imagine as you described with rose petals scattered around - almost wish i was getting married now just so i could do that :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh I really really like those Cinny. Might be good decoration for the top tabl since as you say they'd fit with the luminaries. Would also be a way to bring my nana and NIMs grandad into things, as both are deceased. I'm going to show him those, thanks so much.

He does like them, so its off to ikea we go on Saturday afternoon! I'm thinking 7 of them (hopefully ikea do a variety of frame sizes), a cluster of three at either end of the top table and one in the middle. Basically do them in family groups, so at either end we have one with maternal grandma, maternal grandad and their offspring, same for paternal, then our actual families on the third one, then in the centre have a me and nim one with the date or something on the third side.

I actually ordered a few natural confetti samples yesterday, so we'll see how those are when they turn up. The last ones were far too pink.

You don't need to worry about that! My ikea has so many different frame sizes when I was trying to frame my Mum and Brothers prints for Christmas I had to leave OH with the measurements and go look at the candles I was so confused :o I know they do ones like these in all different sizes and they're all very cheap, but pretty sturdy. I like the idea of using them just on the top table!

Hope everyone's okay today! Got the afternoon to myself as OH is working so I'm off... SUPERMARKET SHOPPING.. Woo! The sheer excitement of it is near killing me I swear.

Morning, what a lovely idea for the top table! It would be nice if you could get some old piccies of the grandparents to fit with the 50s theme?

TPA - don't know anyone who's stayed there unfortunately, just stumbled across it one day and thought it looked fab! Superbreak do it I think and you get 6% Quidco with them, don't know if you know of a better/cheaper deal though.
