Anyways! Heres the tattoo with my Sisters (whos stupidly skinny and paleness makes my arm look all fat and pink! :( People think I'm pale, my Sister's a ghost!) Click! It's only about 1cm by 4cm, but it was bloody painful!

Ahh the tattoo's are lovely :D

As far away from that hellhole that might once have been irish as you can.

:rotfl: Spoken like a true non-Dublin Irishman! What is it they call it in Cork, West England? :rotfl: TPA, Dublin is lovely, don't listen to him. I've always fancied this hotel but it always works out cheaper to stay in friends' spare rooms :D

Re. the wedding umbrellas - if it's raining will people not have the sense to bring their own? Seems like an unneccessary expense to me, I've never been to a wedding where brollies were provided - even one where it poured down. And it might not even rain! *fingers crossed*

Tesco do bathrooms?! Why am I surprised? It's very nice - how many points do you get towards NY with that?!

Cinny, I want to see the tattoo too - love the idea of having each others' favourite colours, even if you've ended up with a Heart of Darkness!!!

EDIT - how long did it take me to type that? Its because I couldn't rremember the name of the hotel to link it! Lovely Cinny! :)

They're really sweet, Cinny! Did you say you'd written each others? Your writing is so similar!

Me too, I love freestanding baths. I didn't know Tesco did bathrooms either! Can you go and see them anywhere or do you just have to rely on images?

Cinny - the tattoos are gorgeous!

Really like the bathroom and the hotel too.

And I agree with Tete. The umbrellas are unecessary. You would be better off putting that money towards extra wine at the table. That always impresses people :)

They're already getting 2 glasses of wine, a bucks fizz and a champagne, any more than that and I think they'll get a bit raucous/sleepy!

This isn't for the guests, its for the bridal party. If it rains the brollys will be in the photos. The last two weddings I went to they had brollys and they were used. I'd rather not spend it though tbh! It can wait until closer to the time I guess, if the 2 week forcast is saying glorious sunshine for 5 days either side can save the money.

Did you order the shawl yesterday? Just clicked on the link and it's sold either way! I'm not too keen on it though if I'm honest (but then I'm not wearing it!) Just looks a little stiff, if that makes sense? The colour is nice though!

Yep I got it. Hopefully it'll be a warm day, but I'm really not counting on it. I'm past the age where I can get away with a little cardy to a nice evening do now sadly, so I can wear it a lot afterwards. I didn't want a pashmina as they look nice with an evening dress, but with formal bridal dress it looks a bit like you grabbed the nearest rug! Urgh, starting to dread the day again now, its just so much more traditional than I would have wanted.

You mean the whole thing? Or just the reception bit? In all fairness you have picked a 1950s glam theme so it's all going to be quite traditional and classy! I'm sure there are places you could throw in some quirks! Like you're having a sweet bar - what about hiring a candy floss machine to go with it? Or one of those retro popcorn carts?

Hows it all going with the centerpieces?

More traditional than you wanted- how so? Do you think the reason you're not too bothered about sorting a lot of it and getting all Bridezilla is because you're dreading it?

Your drinks package sounds pretty good, the wedding we went to a few weeks ago had very similar, although it was 3 glasses of champers each and once the meal was finished and we'd had about 3ish glasses of wine each thanks to some people not drinking it we were fairly wasted, trying to dance was fun! OH ended up with a massive bruise on his ankle and we still don't know how he did it, I think it was probably from him kicking himself doing one of his more flamboyant moves!

The bathroom is nice, lots of lovely clubcard points too!

Well I wanted to go to Italy for the weekend, get married on an olive grove laden hillside somewhere. NIM wanted something a lot more traditional so I didn't push it at all, he does so much everyday to make me happy I decided to give him what he wanted as he had clearly thought about his wedding, and in a positive way, not just in a 'how can I minimise the discomfort' type way. Dreading it is a bit strong, nervous and apprehensive is closer - not about the getting married part, just all those people staring at me. I think watching 4 weddings and spending time on the bridal board has got me thinking people are judging every tiny detail, and I need to remember if they're that shallow their opinion doesn't matter anyway.

Haven't really thought more about centerpieces, not sure we have the money for them. NIM is very keen on the champagne glass towers, I like the look of them but I'm just concerned about money.

NIM walked me through my first matched bet last night... seems a lot of faff for £7! That said I get 5 freebets off that one company, so I guess that's £35 in total. Plus Quidco cashback. Hope to get a few more done tonight.
