Sorry to hear about your cat Dippy. Ours had a bladder infection twice last year, both times on a Sunday - why do pets only get ill on the weekend?! Hope shes feeling a bit more bouncy now xDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Posted this morning on the September 2010 weddings' thread....Floss you scare me! We only got our invites on Friday, I'm addressing them today. Don't have a florist (probably not having one though) or confirmed a band yet, or have a definate cake plan yet. Haven't spoken to the photographers since we booked them, and I don't like my ring so it needs to go back and hopefully be resmelted and made thicker. Having knee surgery in two weeks so no dancing for a while yet. Dress hasn't arrived, nor have the bridesmaids dresses. Can't get hold of one of the groomsmen. I have no shoes as I don't know how long my dress will be, or if I can stand in heels by then. My veil is less than half made. We haven't even considered who to use as a DJ. I have no idea what vaccinations if any we need for the honeymoon. The house we are going to be moving to currently doesn't have a single habbitable room and we're still trying to finalise on a builder. I feel like we should be worrying but to be honest I have faith it will all fall into place, and if it doesn't it doesn't really matter, and I'm just going to keep plodding on with sewing my veil!
Should I be more worried when everyone else on the thread appears to be at the putting favours into little bags stage?! I guess I'm just much more focussed on the house, the wedding will go ahead regardless of if we have the fluffy bits, the house will be an issue if we have no floors or the water is still off because the bathroom isn't in yet!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Lol! If I was you I would defo be organising the band and DJ as I'm sure you want to get good ones, and the good ones book out pretty quickly. I think music is a very important part of the wedding and can really set the scene for a good night.
I wouldn't worry about anything else on your list. They can all be sorted fairly last minute and shouldn't cause too much stress.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

We're going to see a singer sometime soon, fairly sure we'll have him, and the hotel has a resident DJ, its just we've heard neither of them, and therefore confirmed neither of them!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Personally, if I was spending what you're spending on my wedding I'd be pretty darn organised and making sure that everything is perfect because I really wouldn't want anyone picking holes in my Big Day (and I know they're there to see you join in wedded bliss, but it's human nature to notice big faults even if you don't set out to)... but your priority is clearly the house and the wedding will happen whatever, it's just how polished it'll be when it happens that's in question now!
Hope your cat is perking up now Dippy, sorry to hear about all of the health issues recently, and the expense involved!
Thansk for the Tesco tip too Dinah, will check out the suncreams as we need some!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

If they are both free on the day then you are sorted so no need to worry!
I guess it is where your priorities are. I know for my sister that got married last week, music was a big priority for them. They researched a band/DJ thoroughly and it showed on the day. No-one got off the floor for the night. They were very contemporary but suited the young crowd. They weren't so bothered with favours(donated to cancer research instead), the cake (made by my Mum & looked brill but cost nothing) and flowers (provided by BIL's aunt as a gift and were stunning, but my sister didn't mind what they looked like!).
If anything on your list isn't a huge priority then I wouldn't worry about it too much. Everything will come together on the day for you and it will be perfect. It always is!
We booked flights yesterday to fly to Italy for my friends wedding which is the same day as yours Dinah. I can't wait for it. It is being held in an Italian villa and they are a classy pair so the day should be lovely. We got the flights for £194 for both of us which was good considering all other airlines wanted to charge us about £270 each!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks Tete. It is a nice colour. The last time I was bridesmaid we wore the same colour and it suits everyone as there were bridesmaids with blonde, red, brown and black hair!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Dinah, How is NIM's stripping coming along (of the rooms in your new house before you ladies get other ideas)
Would not be surprised if he has been topping the fridge up with beer (Tesco 3 x cases of 18 x 284ml for £20 and clubcard points so you can't shout at him) to keep him going.0
