Badly! But I figure its going to be cut open anyway! I think my involvement is pretty much over now, all the rooms are stripped, we're on to plastering and skimming now. Got a text off the builder, should get the quote soon apparently, but we're still going to get a few more to try to compare with.

    Hi everyone!

Good news about all the work, sounds very productive!

Payday today, so OH is sorting out all my bills for me...i should really face them like a grown up! :D

Realised that i am being paid to be the cleaner on my receptionist wage! Enjoying the cleaning even more now haha! Its good, my legs are getting slimmer! Plus its such an easy job, at my own pace and it gets me out the house.

Is anyone still doing Dooyoo? Im halfway to a voucher, so should really push back on it.

Glad everyone is doing well...:D It seems alot quieter around here recently xx

It has been quieter, I've noticed that too. But then I've been posting a lot less as I'm just so busy, plus I feel like I ought to post money news, and what is there to say really - don't have any and not taking stock till October!

Sorry I haven't been around, been a bit mad at work. Got an email from a colleague just before I was due to start shift last night warning he was sick.

Ended up doing 12 hours last night, then today off, back to dayshift tomorrow, then nightshift Wednesday if colleague is not back, if back then I will stay on days. If he isn't back I might end up doing Thursday night as well. Poo

There's no need to only ever post money news Dinah, just keep us up to date with goss if you've got nothing to say money-wise, TBH most of it goes over my head anyway! The weekend sounds like it was productive, glad you enjoyed it, but not so glad your knee's not doing so well after it all!

Glad you're enjoying work Lulu, even more so now that you know you're getting a decent wage for it! Wish I was, I'm feeling the work blues at the moment, we're down to 2 in my office now and the other woman moans from the minute I arrive to the minute she leaves, it's doing my head in, I feel suicidal by lunch time! I'm also wandering round in a state of fear at the moment; I burnt my ear on my straighteners on Sunday (proper clamped it in there, it's burnt from the lobe to about 2 thirds of the way up! Sore!) then yesterday morning my car door swung back at me as I was getting out and smacked me on the mouth (fat lip!) so I'm waiting for the 3rd thing to happen to me and I'm feeling very nervous!

 I hope the third thing isnt too painful or unpleasant!!

I'm feeling a bit blue today as well, our bed for the new house isnt being delivered for another six days and i just want to get in and sorted now - getting fed up of living out of boxes! OH has hired a van for the weekend to move all our stuff and pick up our furniture out of the storage. Hes got loads of his mates to help and has told me to stay out the way because i just start stressing and worrying about things.

That's annoying about the bed, but at least you'll be in by this time next week! It's a good idea to leave the men to the moving, let them do all the heavy lifting (as long as they know what goes where!) and then you can come in and do the prettifying when they've finished!

Okay then! Well i'm spending today sewing my veil. I'm a bit worried as the weight of the lace seems to be making it twist, I'm hoping when I've finished sewing all the way around (and then a second line of stitches on the inside edge of the lace) it'll sort itself out. Also received our invitations on Saturday, which is exciting (even if my proof reading was terrible, 2 names are misspelt, we have a 'creme brule' and the word 'soup' is missing from one of the starters - so it just says 'cream of wild and tame mushroom with croutons'.... hopefully people will guess!

NIM asked me to help with one of his assignments last night. He had one due today, one tomorrow. The today one was already over a pass mark, but there were 6/20 multiple choice questions he didn't know the answer to so asked if I could look at them just try to bump the grade a bit. This was a computing assignment and I'm one of these people who think computers are powered by pixie dust and good will. However impressively I could answer one of the questions off the top of my head, and I got him answers for 4/5 of the rest which is decent going. One of them was 'what encryption system should government workers use for sending a very sensitive message through email' and one of the options was an enigma machine - I jokingly said 'oh its that one' and NIM didn't know what it was and started to enter it onto the official form until I hurredly stopped him!

My mega baking day on Friday went down well, although could really have done with more! Made 16 things I've christened 'Bookies' (not quite brownies, not quite giant cookies), a lemon tart, 16 vanilla cupcakes with fresh raspberry frosting, 2 huge picnic pies, and jam tarts. It was all scoffed and the lads looked sad, like they could have done with a bit more of it! I'm not putting it all on the blog though, don't have time to be honest!

Mum is really happy with her new oven, it looks brand new, the old dear who had it has clearly scrubbed it after every use.

No more ebay furniture bargains unfortunately. Mostly because nothing has come up we really want/need. Things we are still looking for include shelves, drawers, a very large/two matching wardrobes, and a gas stove. Have seen two matching pine wardrobes I'm considering bidding on as I could sand them down for a more aged look, and possibly thinly whitewash them as well. Our room is going to be a sort of white washed tranquil loose Japanese theme, I'm trying to decide between a few wall decals on Etsy - I'll post pics if anyone would like to help me decide?

Need to order a fathers day pressie, but I'm putting it off as I'm trying for as many NSDs as possible! Guess I better get on with it though so it arrives in time. I'm probably going to get something off Etsy, as I like the idea of supporting the artists and getting something more original. What to get though?!

Tesco vouchers arrived yesterday, now have £57 saved towards New York (£350 will be required to pay for it), which leaves me under £100 left to make by the end of the year to get my gold medal. Come on Tesco, give me some more good offers!

Ooooh I do have some money news - NIM has done the balance transfer now, freeing up £1500 to order the floors and bathroom. Builder has said the quote will be 'soon', but when that is is anyones guess!

That sounds really painful, especially the ear Birdie.
