Hi Tink. I can't have my knee bent for more than about 20mins, so sitting on a chair at my desk is a no go. They say it isn't possible to find a way for me to have my knee out straight, therefore I have to stay home where I can be comfy. Besides, the surgery is in 3 weeks now, I'm going to be very out of action for a fortnight after it. If the surgery wasn't coming up I'm probably up to doing half days or something if I could get comfy. Back in about 7 weeks anyway.

oooh sorry I just was wondering, at least the surgery is soon and then you can go back asap, just thought that there would be something they could do for you (although at least you then avoid the problem of getting there!!)

Thanks girls for the exam wishes, its just soooo tedious and boring but worrying grrr! Thursday night though, I am hoping I will be very happy, and verydrunk!!

    Hi all,

Glad the house stuff is coming along Dinah. We spent £50 quid on redecorating our bedroom and our flat is rented eek!

Good luck on the last exam Tink, you will be so relieved when it is over.

One of the issues our surevy picked up was that the 2nd bedroom on the upstairs double glazed window's unit had failed (wow, that sentence reads so poorly Tete must be crying right now!). I made a few calls, and found out I was looking at about £600-£800 to replace the glazing unit alone. A brand new local pick up only one in EXACTLY the same size came up on ebay, and I just won it for £52 - chuffed! Dad has already said he'll be able to fit it (although maybe not until the autumn), so I'm pretty made up about that!

I've also been pricing things up today - should be able to get ALL the paint for the house on under £250. Trying to decide on coving though. We could do the whole house on £110 if we went for polystyrene, but its a bit naff, whereas we're looking for about £350 for plaster. I think we'll just have to see how the money situation is looking when we get a bit closer to needing it.

Called Alliance & Leicester today about the morgage. They've said they can't move the morgage date to payday this month, but they can after the first payment, which is good. So the decorating £1200 this month has been put aside for the morgage, and next month I won't actually have a morgage payment so there will be a lot of money put aside then (asuming my wages don't drop to scarily) . The jobcentre are calling tomorrow, so I should know more then about how much I'll be getting on next payday.

I'm a bit up and down as my cat's been ill. She's got kidney problems which aren't too bad at the moment (early stages) but the medication is suppressing her appetite so she doesn't want to eat and is losing weight all the time :(

Other than that, I'm ok though. I need to read through all of the posts I've missed so that could take some time!

Sorry to hear about your cat, ours has kidney issues too, so far the special food has controlled it and she's fine, but before it was diagnosed she was in a lot of pain poor thing. Hope yours gets evened out soon.

Think I've found my wedding hair decoration. The shop is closed until July though, which makes me a bit nervous as I need it for my hair trial. Not entirely how it would sit as I want my hair a lot looser than that.

Mum keeps calling to check I'm taking good care of the rabbit - so I went to pick him up so he could have strokes - not only did I clock my head off the table so hard its bleeding, but the damn bunny ran straight back through to his cage as soon as I put him on my knee!

Morning everyone! One more sleep Tink and it'll be over! Bon Courage as they say in France (I've never found a satisfying equivalent in English).

Sorry to hear about your cat Dippy, hopefully a different course of treatment will work for her, or she'll get her appetite back soon? I tried my two on catnip again last night and they took to it this time, were running about like little savages! :D

Hi Wendz, not long now to Egypt! You must be really excited! We've been talking about hols but just don't know with money at the minute, we'll have to have a sit down tonight I think and look.

Well done on the window bargain Dinah, and ouch to the head, it really hurts when you bang your head, I always cry! Hope all goes well with the jobcentre, but at least you know there's an end in sight if not. Hair thing is nice, very vintagey, will go well with your dress :)

Job centre call done, still don't know how much I'm entitled to though, it has to be 'locally assessed'
