And how many hours did you say it would take? You are going to one of those blind nuns!

I think you need to be aiming for a debt-free, first-married Christmas :D Have you factored in Honeymoon spending money?

I estimated about 80. I may have underestimated.

Aye, £2000 factored in for honeymoon spends. For food in Dubai and a bit of shopping and skiiing, food in the Maldives is all inclusive, but want a few trips, and its about £4 each to get the boat out to one of the reefs which we'll be doing most days, and there is a lovely spa :D

Debt free Christmas is the ideal (and has a gold medal on it), £2000 is silver I think and £5000 is bronze. I REALLY hope we're not in more than £5000 of debt!

Good, it's a once-in-a-lifetime holiday so you have to get the most out of it while you're there :)

I intend to (don't want it to be once in a lifetime though!). I'm a bit agreved (can't spell it though) that we can't use Virgin through Tesco to go to Cuba next year, I'd love to go but their prices are collossal.

For anyone a bit nosey - before photos of our first house. I intend it to look a lot different by the time we move in.

Finally moved payday money about today. NIM is going to activate his CC tonight and do the balance transfer. I need to remember to start using the card we're BT-ing off for all purchases now though, as its actually mums card, so we're effectively clearing what she owes, as we can't BT off mine as its also with HSBC. Bathroom is going to cost around £500, the two types of tiles should come to about £200 between them, then the wood flooring we're getting is £830. We were just going to sand down the boards in the house, but they're actually really gappy and poor quality, so I think we're going to go with the proper wood flooring instead.

Hi Dinah I'm VERY nosy so I've had a good look. It's a great shaped house and garden, once you've got it stripped back it will be lovely. Don't forget to carboot the fireplace, light fittings etc they WILL sell. I think that you have three months to get habitable? Should be fine. I'm looking forward to seeing it get straight.

Yep, 3 months 1 week. Although would be nice not to go right down to the wire!

Was thinking I might try the fittings and fireplace on ebay first? But if it doesn't sell then definately down the car boot.

Just dropping in for a catch up! The house looks great and I am sure by the time you have finished it will look like an absolute palace and hopefully we can see some 'after' pics when it is done :D

Still jealous of your honeymoon! Are you into diving at all? The Maldives has amazing shoals of powder blue tangs (my favourite reef fish) although I am sure you would see plenty just snorkelling :)

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D
