My doctor says I seem to have developed an allergy to my contact lenses (they're in saline not solution so the likelyhood is the plastic is the allergy not the liquid!!) so we may find laser eye surgery is suddenly bumping new carpets on the priorities list.

You should go for the laser eye surgery Dinah, it's the best thing I've ever done. I got mines done 4 years ago (after being very short sighted for years) and it's brilliant - still don't know what to do with the six pairs of glasses I had right enough! Couldn't wear contacts much either. If you're with Optical Express you can get 10 months interest free as well!

Thats a lot to have in 6 months! I got my letter the day after my 25th birthday too :( I had one last year, so I'm not too worried, its just I ALWAYS seem to get my period whenever I'm due to visit the lady doctor.

Physio is a bit rubbish, I can do so little. Second appointment is tomorrow.

Right. Need to knuckle down and do the ebay listings, I've taken the photos - I actually struggled to find 25 things, but I got there in the end. I'm hoping to upload it all on Thursday evening on 10 day listings so I get 2 weekends exposure. I've got a big tray of CDs and DVDs to try on music magpie too, and there is an old mobile I can try to clear off and that should be another £100. Slowly but surely...

Lucky you, I've been having them since I was 17, I'm one of the old skool lot :(

I think Birdie makes some good points there about being bored and feeling like you deserve a treat or whatever - that's my worst shopping time when I'm having a bad day.

You sound as though you've got your organised head on though today!

I'm with specsavers, but I'm sure anyone would do them if I went to them! If I knew I could get interest free credit I think I'd book it tomorrow, but I think I'd be refused. While we did just get the morgage, we were refused for a FraserCard at the weekend (very angry, only wanted it as its a gift list promo - if your guests spend £1000 between them they put £75 on the FraserCard). Grrr!

Have you got a CEX near you?? I've started saving any DVDs I would put on MMP for when OH works in the city and can take them there. Typically I've found you get about 2x more from CEX than you would MMP so it's worth a gander! Plus it's they pay you in cash, so you have it straight away.

Sounds like you're doing really well today, even with the spendyness. If it helps any with the spending, I had a bad day yesterday and ended up spending £55 on MAC and bought an iPod touch :o We can't be MSE saints all the time, but at least you're facing up to the CC debt. You always get it down anyways! Good luck with evilbay!

We've been refused for credit recently, OH is really upset as he's been excellent with his credit for about 2 years now. I got refused for a Very account! I only applied because I was trying to see if a money off code worked and I couldn't get around it, but I was still pee'd off about it!

I've not even had my birthday yet (3 weeks on Saturday!) but I've already had my smear summons. My friend has had hers too, I saw the letter on her notice board and gave her a sad knowing smile!

I'd love to have laser eye surgery but I'm afraid it will have to wait a few years! I quite like using my glasses to cover up my dark circles too!

Thats just it I haven't ever had a missed payment since that fracas with the Alliance & Leicester 27 months ago, and yes it was a nightmare but it was one incident. I think I might call FraserCard see if I can't talk them into just a card with a £50 limit - I want my freebies damnit!

Well i had my interview and i got the job. But its completely different to what i was told on the phone and i really dont want to take it, but i have to as i need the money. Shouldnt of got my hopes up. Just feeling really really crappy about it, but there you go, not much i can do about it. I start on Saturday. :o

Will will will get back on track with Dooyoo, just gonna go and catch up with all your new reviews and rate them. I cashed out for an Amazon voucher, so i can get my nephew a birthday prezzie. I've pretty much fallen flat since the challenge started anyway. Really miss the kids now they're back at school. Need to start feeling positive again!! :rotfl:

At least you'll have pennies again. What will the job entail?

Shame about the job Lulu but I guess you've got no choice if you need the money. I've taken on some really !!!!!! freelance work this week that's not what I'd normally do or the kind of pay I normally accept but money being tight means I just need something to tide me over too. It sucks, doesn't it! Hope it doesn't turn out as bad as you're expecting.

Re DooYoo: I'm losing the will to live too. I'm not far off 25,000 in total points which obviously means I'm nearly halfway to my cheque target but I just can't be bothered anymore! I'm not even getting 50 rates per review any more and as it's mainly books I've down to, I can't be bothered to read them first so it's taking me forever to get through the stash! Someone give me a much needed kick (you know the kind!) or it'll be Christmas by the time I get to the cheque!
