Can't the seller be at risk if she pulls the plug for all your solicitor and survey costs? If so there is no way she is going to back out. Basically sounds like she has been pushed from the top and doesn't want to have to get a bridging loan to cover the time period. Don't back down Dinah otherwise you will be hit with her costs. Better to let her take the risk as she is the one seller and in the position of loosing a lot more.0

Sounds like a nightmare DInah. That is good that you can stand firm though, it would be very silly of her to try and find another buyer for the sake of two weeks.
This volcano thing does not sound like it is getting much better, although apparently it is erupting less. I may have to get to work packing my sisters stuff tonight and tomorrow.
I have been working through my list of things to change address on and am getting there slowly. The letting agent said they will contact council tax, water, gas and electric with change of name for us.0 -
Wendz when I moved I used a site called iammoving.co.uk (or something like that) and it's a bit like confused where you enter your details once and hits a load of companies at one time so you don't have to fill out the same details 80 times. It's also handy for reminding you of people to contact as there's a long list of companies I found myself looking through the list and going, 'Oh yeah, I need to tell them... and them.... and them!'.
Hope your sister gets home soon! I was just watching Sky News on my lunch and there's a load of tourists stuck in China and their Visas are about to expire and BA aren't paying any more accomodation costs! Well some fluffy news for you all. I'm looking to order my 3 bridesmaids dresses this evening or in the next few days depending on when I get their measurements and these are the 3 they have gone for:
This one for my size 6 pale and pretty 19 year old family friend in champagne.
This one (which looks super glam on) for my size 12 best friend from school in champagne. Gives her an incredible figure and the colour really suited her, I had to email her husband to tell him how amazing she looks in it!
And this one in the brown shown in the photos for my best friend from uni who is a curvy hour glass size 18, and has a much warmer skin tone than the other two and just looked ill in pale colours! Its not actually the one she tried on (that one didnt have the flowers on the back) so its a bit of a gamble, but it's exactly the same cut and gathers as the one she loves, and I think the flowers add something special to it (and I cant get the plain one for less than £320!)Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Ah I like the idea of having different dresses for each one, but with the theme running through them. Strange that a plainer dress would cost more than an embellished one?!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Wow I love all 3! Your BMs will look amazing! Are you doing anything to tie them all together since 2 are in champagne and the other is in brown?
You've done a lot wedding wise recently- well done! When does your dress come into the shop?

End of June mine arrives, so still a few months off. But it doesn't come to the shop, its coming to my house - need to remember to ask my sewing teacher if she knows anyone who does wedding dress alterations as I ordered it a size bigger just in case!
The plainer dress is in the shop, whereas the embellished one is on that website and coming direct, hence why it is cheaperThey'll all have the same flowers, erm they're all browny shades, and they're all on the arm of a groomsman (tenuous link and I'm grabbing at it!) hopefully that'll tie them together enough!
I NEED to find somewhere that does a veil though, really struggling with that atm.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Maybe if they have the same headdress?
Hmmm, not really sure about veils as I'm not having one (although feeling a bit jealous of my friend who's having a chapel length veil and it looks amazing!). What length are you thinking? We could make you a veil from some of that tutu material from Boyes and a few sequinsWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Ah wow, that's exciting about the dresses. I love the idea of having different dresses to suit each bridesmaid (rather than the standard strapless icky colours and the inevitable 'bridesmaid's bulge'). One of my friends just asked all her 5(!) bridesmaids to wear their favourite black dress and got them all matching shoes - I wasn't sure about the black at first but they looked lovely! And it was very MSE!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
