Hi, the party was good last night, lots of people came (thank goodness for emergency chairs!), we had some wine and a laugh and they spent lots of money so I ended up with £51.75 to spend on goodies for myself!

My friend's BF is stuck in Bercelona at the minute with 22 school kids- I'd rather be stuck in NY any day!

I'll second the 'Yay to getting the keys today' Wendz! How exciting!

ooh you should be able to get some nice things with £50!! Maybe you could buy some special wedding stuff and stash it away? Or use it to buy bridesmaids presents etc if youre doing that and dont need anything yourself?

I had to choose it all last night so I got some make-up for myself, I needed a new face anyway and had been playing around with the idea of trying new things so I can try it all for free! I did get a clever cover up set that has green stuff in it to hide redness (sunburnt noses when we're away!) and 2 shades of cover-up to mix together to get the right shade so it'll blend in with whatever colour everyone goes! Now I just have to convince OH that it isn't 'gay' to wear cover up on our wedding day! LOL!

Well done on the Virgin Vie party Birdie, sounds like you got some nice things!

We got our keys yesterday yay. Flat was even nicer than I remembered so very happy. Is so empty at the moment though as we only took a few things yesterday in the car.The only thing we want to change is the bedroom is an orangey colour where as the rest of the flat is cream coloured so we are going to ask to paint it.

We were meant to be moving most our stuff over this weekend but my sister is stuck in New York till at least Wednesday now and none of her stuff is packed so we have decided to wait till Thursday now, as OH has day off and his Dad can come up then with van too.

Aww stuck in New York - I dream of getting stuck on every holiday so I don't have to come home LOL. I definitely wouldn't want to be stuck anywhere with a whole school class!

Wendz that is so exciting about your flat - at least you've got the keys Now just a few days longer. Orange bedroom is a bit radical, they should definitely paint that for you. I sanded the hair dye stain off our kitchen floor yesterday - just put the first coat of varnish on and it looks ace!

Mrs Poolie is finally coming home on Tuesday.

She is currently in Milan with her friend. She is travelling by train via Geneva, Paris and London.

Managed to get her a ticket for EuroStar on Tuesday night. Website was causing chaos but she ended up with Business Class which may be a bit more expensive but she will get a meal and it should be a bit quieter for her. It has ended up on the CC for the moment so currently sitting at £406.85

Just want her home. I am working Tuesday afternoon but work are letting me finish 2 hours before she is due so I can get up to London St Pancras to meet her and get her home.

Yeah it isn't bright orange so not horrific but would def look nicer cream. Whoever painted it did a rubbish job as well, is all round the plugs etc! We have to put it in writing to request to paint it and we are still waiting for our 'welcome pack' with the contact on!
